Hello. I read on the Parents for Barefoot Children website that many elementary schools in Hawaii allow the students to go barefoot. I searched for some of the dress codes from elementary schools in Hawaii, but most of them say that footwear is required and some of them don't mention shoes, but don't say they are optional either. I don't really see any that say footwear is optional.

Is anyone from Hawaii that would know first hand? I was thinking that maybe the schools that have fancy websites that post dress codes online might be mostly the ones that would require shoes, and the ones with more basic websites might be the ones that allow bare feet. Or is it just that none of them do allow bare feet anymore?
Please let me know your opinions. Thanks,
    Tim
