The bank down in town is being turned into a craft brewery to make Western Pennsylvania Swankey beer. The building dates from 1924. The last craft beer I had was Hop'n Gator in 1969 made by Pittsburgh Brewing Company . It was a lemon lime lager, a combination of Gatorade and beer with 25% more alcohol than regular beer. Pittsburgh Brewery also made the famous Olde Frothingslosh brand.
well nooooup. haven't had bheer in ages. but i like the idea. if i wanted any that would be the way to go. i very much like the idea of diverse individual expression. so more power to the hobby and even modest scale commercial brewers. but for someone else, whoever does happen to be attracted to the most popular, completely (in most places) legal, 'mind altering' substance. several older structures, including one that was the station of a railroad that was long ago gobbled up by larger ones, have been converted into mini-breweries and brew pubs around the town i'm living in as well.
there is apparently a periodical called and about "fermentation". just got an ad for it in my email today. and it looks like it isn't just about beer. the ad had a bunch of links to recipe articles for home made sodas.
