Have you ever worked so ridiculously hard for something, only to have it taken away from you for very short time later? Nothing is worse than accomplishing a goal and having it disappear. I just lost a very well paying design client. Life sucks.
No, becuase i would have to have worked hard in the first place With my current job, working hard is actually impossible, aahh government
probably, although i can't think of an example. i think it's more common that i work hard for things that i never even ended up getting.
I bought a beer cooler once and it was my pride and joy for one Christmas. I believe I left it in a taxi. It still cuts me deep inside, I was so happy with that cooler and I got to use it for one day.
I had a Penknife when I was A kid Always wanted one Took me a lifetime Convincing my Mom to let me get it , Used to look at it open closed half open , half closed I could have took on A dinosaur with that Penknife Running along the canal bank one day it fell out of my pocket bounced once on the footpath and Plop !! gone forever never had anything in my life that cool till I got my first shotgun
i'm not sure i've ever worked hard for anything other then survival, but there have been lots of things i had wished to make much greater and longer use of, that either wore out too quickly, or have yet to come into my possession. the closest i've ever come to owning land or a house, was a small boat, which of course, wasn't very close at all. but loss, well, i've moved many times, and have almost never been able to take everything i would like to have kept, which has given me, i'm afraid, a bit of a callus, about loosing things. as i've never been exceeding well off either, i have always found this somewhat annoying none the less.
Yes. I lost my grandmothers engagement ring. I inherited it after she died, and I accidentally left it on the bathroom sink in a bar, after taking it off to wash my hands. I still haven't been able to forgive myself. Not that I worked hard for that ring, but it meant the world to me.
At the moment im trying to make the playoffs in madden. I am in my worst year ever in gaming at a woeful 5-6. The chargers are 3 games ahead of me but i play them twice with 5 weeks to go. If i win out, and beat them twice, and hope for a loss, i could snatch first place in the AFC West. Manning was done for the year in week two with a groin injury while Osweiler is one loss away from being benched in Denver by their new owner, yours truly.
Dang Tyrson, I can't even imagine what that must've been like for you. Condolences. Do you know what caused the fire?
