of course i have probably won't do it in the future unless its family or family of a real close friend. i'm getting to old for that and they should be able to find someone who is just over 21 anyways. its not that hard 2 of my roommates at school weren't part of my close group of friends...i didn't hang out with their friends, but i did buy them plenty of alcohol plenty of times. and i would do it again
Yes, many many times. My housemate is 17 and she nicks my cider all the time. I've bought for 14-15 year olds before, I honestly don't give a fuck what they do, it's their damn business.
Haha..I say that to my husband when he gets up after sleeping late. And no, I do not buy for minors. If they get caught they will totally roll on you, it happened to a friend of mine when we were 19.
Whenever Im asked to. I always bought my own alcohol since I was 14 in Santo Domingo, I dont see what the big deal is.
I don't buy for minors because I don't want to deal with the consequences that might come from it. I'm a mother of three, I certainly don't want to be held responsible for taking the life of a minor who might make wrong choices under the influence, nor do I want to spend the rest of my own childrens' childhood behind bars. Not worth it in any way, shape, or form. Like they say, it's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt.
Yeah, when I was like 21 and a good friend was 20. I wouldn't now as I don't have any friends who aren't 21.
same when i first turned 21 and had 19 & 20 year old friends, other than that just 1 person who i know is responsible and wouldnt drive.
Never have, but I do support lowering the age here in Massachusetts from 21 to 18. It was 18 when I was in college, and I think there was less abuse. Of course, the safer alternative, pot, was easier to get back then.
Nah.. never been asked, except for by younger friends when I was maybe 20, which I don't think counts.
The legal age of drinking in DR is 18, but it's not enforced in any way. I also feel there's a lot less abuse there than here in the states or Canada or maybe it's just that I find it weird when I see "adults" acting the way I did when I was 15.
I understand that, but I think kids being so sheltered is what makes them take so many stupid decisions. I started going out in Santo Domingo when I was 14. We would go to open bars with the sole purpose of getting drunk. The worst that ever happened was me making a fool of myself, making out with guys I barely knew and throwing up in random places. Nothing really regretful, just typical stupid teenage shit and it was the same for all of my friends. Now Im way over alcohol and have been for a couple of years now. I might enjoy catching a light buzz, but anything more than that is unnapealing to me. I've never been approached by minors who I dont know for me to buy them alcohol. Cigarettes yes, and I do without hesitation. Alcohol, I've only ever bought for two minors, both of which I knew beforehand.
Haha I was gonna say that I think the reason why kids here do way stronger drugs when they're so young in comparison to DR is because of how difficult it is for them to get drunk
I buy alcohol for me and my friends pretty regularly. I'm a minor, and so are they. I bought alcohol for my little sister a few times.. which I felt weird about.. in a 'am I doing the right thing?' kind of way.. but I still did it because I remember what it was like being 15 and having absolutely nothing to do on the weekends.
nope....some little twat asked me the other weekend, just to spite him i went and bought some rum for myself
I am a minor so no. I do know a lot of people who regularly get drunk but I think some of them actually steal it from their parents. Well one girl does at the very least. I'm one of the few in our friends group who hasn't gotten drunk yet, and we're not even the cool kids.
