So, I'm sure we have them everywhere in the world, those being those lamp lights on the street that are apparently absent and void of life until you get close them BAM they come on.

Tonight I was taking the dog for a walk who's basically, nonsensical on his walks so it's me with ears up and eyes wide though I cannot see in the dark and we pass under the dim red and amber lamps and if one is off in the distance when we get to it, it's on and when we walk away it goes out.

I've never heard of a street lamp having a sensor but that's what it feels like. But tonight I heard things behind me. To the left and to the right as if stalking. Could have been deer eating grass on the oval fields but I'm not sure. The dog heard them too, twice he turned around hackles up ready to go, but was left perplexed as to his surroundings just like me. We scurried off but at least 3 lamps along the way switched on and off, on and off, on and off.. I wondered what their deal was.

Sounds pretty creepy. If the dog is uncomfortable, something is up. Do you carry anything with you for protection while you're out walking?

Always. I have two throw balls, a stick and I carry and extra lead with me with the punch collar that I can whirl around my and strike things with, that I've never had to do.

But yes it was creepy. So I started to walk quietly, soft feet and definitely movement behind me. I told myself girl you're too old to be jumping at shadows, so I kept brave. Thus went for about 10 mins the moment I hit darkness the moment I felt something with me. Then there's a park with the lamp lights that goes about 600m and that'd where all the activity was. It was just weird lol, still night so no winds were present. Something definitely there though. Kids? Maybe. Bit too late for that.

It is easiest to walk him always at night time without anyone else around. Once there's dogs and people and kids and bikes his anxiety goes through the roof. But late at night nobody is out and we don't have to worry. The balls are glow in the dark and have colourful LED inside so you throw them and he can see and it's funny because the fields are always lights out so it is pitch black and all you see is this colourful ball running around and that's where you know where he is lol. But after all the noises we didn't throw the ball.

The street lamps are sensor controlled on my street, like to where I see them light up from my porch but I don’t see anyone walking nearby. It is creepy!

Be careful when you’re out at night, girl.

To me it is too coincidetal to not be triggered by a sensor, just I've never heard of it. Like I see the same stuff everywhere. When I was HS girl, Australia, lamps did this too but never did I hear anyone ever say it's sensor. So, guys that tagged with me just used to tell ghost stories or, they'd kick and wail on that lamp post.

But a sensor would take all the fun out of it, wouldn't it? No more mysticism.

Our lights don't have motion sensors.

They have light sensors so they come on at dusk and go off at dawn.

Yeah, I honestly couldn't see the point of sensors cause they'd just be on all night from shadows. You see some light all walk and then some don't.

    Ghosts it is then!

Now four days ago I had a moment in my room. I was laying bed trying to get some shut eye, and I felt a very cold breeze on my face like somebody was breathing on me it was very cold and then the next minute I heard a thud on my pillow. Well I got up whacking and walloping thinking a big tarantula had fell from the ceiling but when I turned lights on, nothing. No Laura. No dog. No tarantula. Nothing.. Though I'm generally attacked during my sleep I never noticed any bad dreams. But that was creepy too.

    Yes indeed.

There's a haunted lamp post in the old pioneer cemetery near my house. Spooked me real good when I walked by it for the first time.

While our street lights don’t have motion detectors, almost every home in the area has surveillance cameras with motion detectors,
so when you pass by someone’s house the floodlight turns on

I don't think a tarantula exists in Europe lol. But Thats the thing I thought of because I know in Australia a Huntsman spider will plop and make a noise.

I belief in Spirits and hauntings myself. I've been told that sometimes places can be haunted, sometimes certain items can be, or certain people can be.

I've witnessed a fair amount of things that could be put in the category of what you described or similar similar categories. I still consider myself pretty ignorant about at least some of these things.

My main thought about your experience is that I think there are beings out there that can control lights.

If items can be haunted, I think that only some of them can control the abilities of the item they're doing that too. (???)

I will also mention a bit about a show I saw years ago. There was this guy who claimed that street lights would sometimes - or often - go out when he'd walk beneath them. Maybe you may be starting to have that ability?

It may have also have just been the time for those lights to burn out if they were installed probably within minutes of each other. (???) I do doubt though, even if that were the case, that they would have all burned out so close to the same time as each other. (???)
