I really want to go in a couple of years but I'm sort of afraid to since I will be going by myself. How does it work down there? How do you protect your property and such?

Its a very easy beach to navigate once you get there. Parking is across the street which last I knew was a paid lot. We keep our valuables in the locked trunk. You need to walk through the tunnel under the road to the beach. A beach cart is a handy tool to have and a beach umbrella if you prefer. Take a few dollars with you if you want to eat at the food truck if it comes around. Watch for the beach ambassadors with the yellow hats. They can answer any questions and help make you comfortable on your visit. Im reasonably sure nobody will bother any of your belongings if you go for a swim, a walk or get involved with any activities. Its been a couple years since we have been there. But sure not much has changed. Another beach you could consider depending on your location is Blind Creek beach arounf the Port St Lucie area. Its a newer nude beach and becoming popular.

The parking across the street I kind of knew about but not the tunnel access which is pretty neat. I figured on leaving my wallet in the car except for a few dollars to eat with and probably my license for ID. I figured on trying to keep everything in my back pack including my phone but I didn't know how safe it would be if left there while I went walking around etc.

Since I will be by myself, more than likely, I don't want to haul a lot around like an umbrella, etc. Just a couple of towels to spread out. It would be cool if I could meet a like minded female to go with me in between now and then but I think it's highly unlikely. It would be more like a miracle I guess. :)

I am hoping to get to the clothing optional part of Haulover in the spring or summer of 2018. I think I have convinced my wife to go with me.

I had kind of a rocky first experience at this beach. . See my post above. I think out can be good but there are some strange people there.
