Dood I TOTALLY agree man, cant stand umphrey's

 

hmmm well its alraight to borrow a phrase or inspiration musicially, but they do tend to rip trey off note for note, then change the last one, as if to suggest that they composed it themselves. you can do that with an obscure musician, or even a musicain thats not popular in the same scene, trey did it alot, jerry did it alot, jimi did it alot, but phish is not obscure to the crowd that umphreys plays too, and they dont hint at riffs, they play them. but they dont play the song, they just repeat it and repeat it, butchered, and call it thier own song.
