im sure you are referring to my anti white rasta threads. it has nothing to do with a fellow 'dread'. it has everything to do with being an idiot. i don't have any problems with anyone on the basis of their hair. i have problems when people go around giving a bad name to a group they supposedly 'represent'. people don't automatically have a universal connection just because they have dreads. they aren't a conduit to spiritual understanding, though im sure some people would argue that they feel so much more spiritual and one with the universe since they backcombed their hair two weeks ago. people are idiots, whether they have knotty hair or not. yea right. half the fools on here have dreads so they can be cool and 'part of that system' that they are supposedly fighting against
ha ha i think it's funny how more than one person took the rap for "attacking someone based on their beliefs" np, do you really see a lot of people on here trying to fit in by getting locks? i don't usually feel that vibe. but, maybe. it just seems you say that often.
It is the internet, get over it. Why does anyone care what some stupid avatar says about or to them? It is all fun and games. I still don't get why people take the internet so serious, get off the fucker and do something in your real life. There is a lot more out there than technology like phones and computers ya know.
It seems a lot of the members on here do not know many others that have dreads... therefore it also seems strange that people would be accused of trying to "fit in" because wouldn't that mean they would would not want dreads? Confuzzled.
i didnt say anyone was trying to fit in. that was vig's words. yea i agree that some want to 'fit in' but more often than not peeps are trying to be the cool, different kid that has teh dreadlockzorrs. ive seen em so many times. kids with freshly backcombed and usually waxed hair come up want to make a comment about how 'cool' my hair is. 'thanks dude. means a lot to me.' cuz having a mohawk just isn't cool enough
daisy, you're right. i almost never see any caucasians with locks. so the idea that someone would do it to fit in is a foreign idea to me.
I see lots of people try to be the cool dude by going and gettng their hair backcombed. One city I used to live in, had about 80% of the teenage population with backcombed dreads. The other ones were punks with mohawks
Very true and very hippie, my complements to you good vibes. I don't have dreads but my son tried once,,,, that another story that he'll tell when he is ready, he belongs here he is dr_gonzo420, write him a PM and drag it out of him. Me long old hair, close to my belt line, Peace Dan
So the consensus is that this is the internet and we can act like assholes all we want, because it isn't the 'real world...' Way to take the high road, guys. It's true that the comments on here don't affect me personally, no matter what is said, but it does, in some way, affect the commenter. Hate begets hate, folks. Karma's a bitch and the internet doesn't give anyone a free pass. and that's my $.02... Bitches.
Guiizz.. Guiizz.... Step away from the computer. Take a look outside your window. The net is a tiny little bubble in all of your colourful enriched lives. Don't take the bubble too freakin' seriously!!! If someone insults you online.. Yes you have every right to 'fight back' or whatever, but whats the point? It isn't going to solve anything, apart from making this whole forum a little more darker (does that even make sense 0.o). I do take things personally, but I think this whole thread is just a bit silly.. The people who are taking it silly need to BURST THE BUBBLE!!! Look out your window!!!! SMELL FRESH AIR I'm not saying those people don't get out much, I'm just saying you're taking an internet forum a little bit too seriously!! Bring the colour back ^^ Quit whining!!
Sounds very different to wear I live. I have seen I think three mohawks since living in my current city and one of them was on my two year old.. and the other two were under the age of seven as well. Sorry I took the words out of context np. My karma is still great.
