I've read in one of the Australian magazine about new scientific development from meteorite fibres. This hat helps you hair growth faster and relax your brain. I was confused cause previously i haven't even heard about "meteorite fibres". Google do know nothing about it and i don't think that it is really easy to get the meteorite material to make smth like this. May be one of you was already faced with stuff like this? I'm kind of crazy about some cosmic things but i don't wanna buy scam.
P.s. if there are cosmic like-minded i will be glad to meet you!

i don't think the entire mass of meteorite material on earth's surface would be enough to be very practical to try and mass produce anything out of.
if it were something a lot of demand could be generated for, then of course it's relative rarity would make in monetarily valuable.

ancient egypt did some things with them, i forget which, and of course you could always make arrow or spear heads out of them.

pretty sure they're mostly silicates, though some contain iron and other minerals.
so if you made a fiber and wove a fabric, it would be basically like fiberglass, you know that stuff to patch boat hulls and big dents in you fender with.
which is kind of irritating, among other things. sounds like an april fools prank, to get somebody to put one on their head,
although, the best hard hats, are made out of fiberglass reinforcing, so yah, anyway, i can see how this might have started as a joke among construction workers,
about how their metiorite hats protected them from things falling out of the sky.

If you tried one on, and you felt awesome, and they only cost $1, then I would say go for it.

If you are getting your money's worth in enjoyment, it doesn't matter if it's a placebo effect or scam, etc.

That said, this sounds like a scam

The price was about 1500$, don't remember exactly.

If it was 5-10$ i think i would ordered it and try. Who knows! probably it's not a joke

I found a few article in the internet that meteorite extened psychic abilities. I's cool to have smth like this, but not for 1500$.

"Meteorite is a magical stone containing unique energies. It is very good for channeling, dream work and meditation. It will also help astrologers to be more accurate."

Meteorites are still made up of elements from the periodic table that you would find on Earth.

I imagine the only difference would be that they could possibly be radioactive if they have come from Space, which would make your hair fall out rather than grow.

    It is a scam Kitsula.

That's accurate; there's an interesting caveat to that. So when the earth was formed, all the heavier elements sunk to the bottom. That means almost all of the heavier elements on earth we use for things like cell phones, and even more common ones like gold were delivered after the earth had cooled. Since the late heavy bombardment about 4 billion years ago.

And since some of the exotic elements in meteorites can be things like radium, plutonium, uranium (U-235), polonium, it is possible to have dangerously radioactive space rocks. However, a much more common space rock like carbon won't be radioactive just because it was in space, beyond the protection of the magnetosphere. It will just be much much more likely to be sterile.
