Hash Consistency

Agreed if I were to make hash it would be via the ice (bubblebag method.) Reverand if you don't mind me asking what do you pay for charas and what country does it come from. My point being charas is not a very economical method of production hence not many commercial ventures bother with it. The only people i can see making it are in far off lands (nepal, India etc) and then only in small amounts. Its a lot easier and cheaper for dealers to ship over weights of soapbar from Holland.) Once in a while somebody may come back from travelling with some but the only person I ever met that got charas more often was a Pakistany who imported novelty goods from Asia.
Mostly though people keep the top draw charas in the place it was made.

 

Down here prices vary extremely widely (sorry for late reply only just noticed this post), sometimes you're paying as little as £70 on the ounce for nothing special just a squidgy dark hash usually pakistani or low grade indian. Tastes good in a pipe or chillum and does the trick but nothing special. Sometimes you are paying up to double that, £140+ for some nepalese grades, that you have to keep in greaseproof paper etc cos if you put it in a baggie it just sticks to the sides and you lose loads. With these sometimes people will only sell an oz or two at a time if there isn't a lot.
There are always grades in between and for something of a pretty decent standard (usually indian) you're looking at on average £90-£125 on the o. £15-£25 on the 1/8th depending on source. Moroccan will go from usually £60-£120 depending on the quality, at the mo I'm smoking some really lovely soft sandy stuff that crumbles real nice when you squeeze it between your fingers and that's £100 a go.

It is a lot easier and cheaper for dealers to ship soap over as you say yes but as I mentioned before lots of people I know don't like smoking bud at all and so want quality hash. And lots of travelling hippies here have their little circles (almost everyone knows everyone in brighton) so there's always mysteriously new batches coming in around the time people come back from india or a few weeks/months after when they get mailed large crates full of statues and sarongs etc, some people keep this up for years....

Out of interest, where are you that you find it so hard to score it???

I grow my own so don't need to score. I do know Brighton has a big smoker community so I can accept what you say.
