actually the perfect way to create this movement would be for a large ecrowd of ppl to get tofgether and plant in a well known place in the us where it was still possible to do so. haha like yellowstone. I f you did this you would bring media attention free and could possibly inspire others to begin growing widespread in smaller more rural and subur
ban areas

When I was attending Arizona State University (ASU), in Tempe, Az, from 1973-1974, I had a hippy friend (an ex-Army cook, then dorm cook), who once showed me a huge plastic bag of many, many marijuana seeds (at his house in MESA, AZ) and said that he was "Johnny Marijuanaseed" and that he was going to plant these seeds all over the USA! True, or STONED AGAIN!!! He definately had the seeds to do it! But did he plant them all over the USA? Well maybe not ALL over, but probably in a few places. He did specifically say "Johnny Marijuanaseed". It's an old idea from the party 70's!!!

We came up with the idea of a "Stoner's Christmas Tree", i.e. a thick and tall marijuana bush, decorated with joints and "reds" (seconal capsules). No one actually made one though. Just a stoner's joke! Cheech and Chong probably would make one!

Marijuana was very popular in the early 70's, as were the DOWNERS: SECONAL (secobarbital), or "REDS", and QUAALUDES (brand name of William H. Rorer, Inc. for methaqualone), or "LUDES" and "SOAPERS" (a variation of "SOPER", which is a brand name of Arnar-Stone Laboratories for methaqualone). RORER 714's (William H. Rorer, Inc. trademark) were most desirable, as they contained a double dose of 300 mgs. (150 mgs. X2), enough to slur your speech, bang off of the walls and fall down alot. Like alcohol, but more euphoric, pleasant and fun!!!

I've heard of marijuana plants growing by Police Stations, as a stoner's joke, but that was before BIG BROTHER's cameras! Don't plant them on YOUR property, as you'd get busted for growing and dealing! They could use DRUG/PROPERTY FOREITURE LAWS! Planting them in out of way places would work. I've hiked through a field and in a patch of woods, by the edge of a large swamp, I found a few plants growing under a sheet of glass! Not mine, but someones. Watch out for BIG BROTHER's cameras and the government's scary BLACK HELICOPTERS (equiped with sensitive INFRA-RED imaging cameras)! They're all real!

JOHNNY MARIJUANASEED - Go for it!!!

Peace out. Smoke up.

(\__/) I'm BUNNY MARIJUANASEED!!!

i'm going to do a project in the spring to plant all around my city...its goin to be alot , but not tens of thousands...
i was also hoping that it would get on the news...or if not just let people get the idea taht marijuana is a plant and can grow anywhere..
the good thing about planting alot is that they might pollinate and there will be m ore next year =D

I've been scattering my seeds ever since college in South Carolina, where it will and does grow wild. I started spreading my seeds after reading the story of Johnny Hempseed, a Southern Pothead folklore tale. Tons of people do spread their seeds, have been for years in the southeastern U.S. works great in the swamps!

Oh yeah, I'm a journalist so maybe I could cook up some kind of press release if you guys are serious about wanting to make the news. Chances are it won't make the news unless someone sends a press release to the right people...

We grew 3 shawg plants behind the police station in my town. They never foudn them, or didn't bother to destroy them. One of them got stolen, but the other we acually got to smoke. There's also a peir in town that alot of people drink and smoke j's and blunts on. I found 5, 3 or 4 month-old-looking plants growing beside the parkign lot. I went to the end of the pier and smoked a few joints, I came back and a cop was sitting there in the parkign lot, and he was radioing in the plants. He then ripped them up and stompped them.

This thread reminded me of some news story I saw awhile ago. There was like 25 pot plants growing at a police station. I guess some kids germinated some seeds and planted them all around outside the police station and the cops diddn't realize until the plants got to be like 2ft tall.
