Man, I'm exactly the same as you, although I'm a bit younger so It probably wouldn't be the same.

Never been in love. I used to think growing up, that there was a universal definition of love. For the most part I guess there is, but I think my expectations of love are a lot higher than most of the people I get involved with. Also, I don't think you have to be in love to have your heart broken. I had a girlfriend break my heart when I was 16 and she was the closest I came to love. She told me she loved me a few times, but I felt she was just highly infatuated with me, as I was with her. So many people toss around the word "love" so freely that it doesn't feel genuine. I would like to be in love in my lifetime, but that doesn't mean that I'm gonna settle for something that isn't love and try to define it as love to make myself feel better. When I say it, I'll mean it.

Dont feel too bad, believe it or not there is quite a few poeple in the same boat as you.

As far as meeting women goes, i understand bc i am shy as well and it takes a little while to open me up so to speak. Its just gonna take a nice girl that you know well to help you out. Surely you have a few girl friends. Either ask them to help you out...or if that wont work for some reason your gonna have to meet chicks on your own. i personally dont think the pub/bar is the best place to meet women, thats not the kinda girl you want. If you have a job, thats a great place to meet girls. Its easy to meet girls at concerts as well if you like seeing live music. Its actually quite easy. Just keep asking her questions about herself. She will be more than happy to talk about herself lol. Drink a few pints if you want to, itll relieve some of your anxiety. If you have a buddy, have him help you out. He can go up to a girl and say "my friend thinks your really cute" or something. Just keep her talkin. keep askin her questions, about waht she likes...etc.

    Hope this helps, peace man

It may be too soon to tell, but I think I'm falling in love with my gf. Its not the infatuation thing you feel when you're young, but more of a comfortable idea that comes over yoy when you think of that person. We've been best friends for awhile now, and its just progressing from there. I always liked being with her, but now I can't wait until I see her again, even if she just left. She just moved in with me, and we'll see how it goes.

I think everybody has a little bit of social anxiety in them, some people just have it worse then others. You should put yourself in uncomfortable situations, I know it doesn't sound like something you should do but the more you go out and do crazy things and go outside your comfort zone, you'll feel more comfortable around girls and what not. Who cares if you've never kissed a girl before, it's not a competition buddy, unless you want it to be. If your that worried about it, just drink a shit ton and go to a party.... You know what, nevermind, I take that back, just let it happen when it happens. Best of luck to you and I hope that your love life gets better for you.
