Harry has opened his gob and managed to put both size 9 boots in it !!! Prince Harry criticised after claiming coronavirus crisis is not as bad as public are being told Staff writer Apr 19th 2020 5:39PM Prince Harry has faced condemnation after claiming Britain's coronavirus crisis is not as bad as the public are being told. In an interview with the Declassifed podcast, the Duke of Sussex said that things in the UK are "better than we are led to believe through certain corners of the media". His remarks were labelled "outrageous" by Professor Karol Sikora, who asked: "What are his qualifications for making these comments — other than deserting his country in its hour of need?" Speaking on the podcast, Harry said: "I think what has happened especially in the UK is the very best of the human spirit and it's proving that things are better than we are led to believe through certain corners of the media. "Certainly when you're in isolation it can be very worrying when you're sitting there and the only information you're getting is from certain news channels, but then if you're out and about and you're on the right platforms you can really sense this human spirit coming to the forefront." Prof Sikora, who is a former Downing Street adviser, told The Sun: "I think these remarks are outrageous. "As for the media, I really don't understand what Harry's beef is. Journalists have been reporting the facts and have been doing great work in holding the Government to account. "The media has also championed the NHS and become a key ally of doctors, nurses and key workers. They should be applauded, not vilified." Piers Morgan tweeted: "Prince Harry, from his Hollywood mansion, accusing the media of exaggerating the scale of this crisis in Britain is contemptible. It's the media that is exposing the real scale of it as our death toll rockets to highest in Europe & over 60 health workers have now died."
woah... The famous "et tu brute" quote comes to mind. I mean, there must be a million and a half people protesting restrictions, but I am surprised to learn that Prince Harry sides with them.
Of course he does, he's an ignorant, arrogant aristocrat whose led a very spoilt sheltered life and wouldn't know reality if it came up and smacked him in the gob !!!
To some extent, what he said was true, since reports tend to ignore the normal national death rate and the 30,000 people who die from pneumonia every year, some of them with no history of respiratory illness. However, the restrictions and publicity are for good reason, since the moment that the NHS are overwhelmed, thousands of people will die needlessly. Harry should keep his stupid mouth shut and trust the experts to advise on the best methods of minimizing the death rate.
Uh.. Maybe I'M misunderstanding.. Not read or listened to the whole of what he said.. But from this quote: It sounds like he is saying things aren't as bad.. As in, how over Brexit we were always heating how divided the country is, and neighbours not speaking to each other these days.. Etc.
All he is really saying is the health system is handling it, and the media are overlaying the doom and gloom
But they are constantly warning us of the dangers of the health services becoming overwhelmed. At the moment, people have without doubt died as a result of the lack of doctors to deal with cardiac arrest and strokes in time and life saving surgery is being postponed in areas such as cancer. It is not an easy time for the NHS at the moment, particularly when people make stupid decisions in areas such as vaccinations that shut their immune systems down for 21 days, of use antibiotics that they may need the following week to kill bacteria in their lungs and prevent pneumonia.
I have to agree with you. What use has any nation for "royalty" if it's nothing more than an ornament? If it's just to instill national pride, must the bill be so high? A modest marketing budget would do, as well as a reasonable estate with reasonable security if a nation MUST have monarchs. For me it's little different from all the people around here who own horses. What possible use is such a massive God damned "pet"? It never pulls a plow and is ridden as often as a Harley (which doesn't eat nor shat the driveway). Harry's the lesser spoiled who drew the new blood card, and he knows it. Unless he goes full Cain, he'll always live from the edges.
If anything, this makes him COOLER. Come on guys. Everyone knows it's cool to break rules and not care and stuff. ; )
In which case, pass me the guillotine and I'll dispatch the whole bunch of them, so that we can a more perfect democracy.
Yeah, last time you said that I asked if that included the tiny royals who are currently only children. You never answered.
They need to be dealt with - otherwise they can become a symbol for the monarchists to try and resurrect a monarchy.
