Yep, I just finished reading the book - Harry finally comes out of the closet in the last chapter, and all his little magic friends accept his homosexuality ;; and also, he kills the Half-Blood Prince, because the prince is half black, and Harry hates mixed people ;; and also, he starts whispering to horses or something - it's very cool

I admit that the Harry Potter books are quite childish, but it's an easy read and an intriuging mystery.

I read the whole 6th book on Saturday. Each installment gets a little more mature. I think that if I was 10, I'd be a little scared reading some parts that I read over the weekend!

I think that regardless of the subject, JK Rowling is a very talented writer.

"i dont understand how reading tripe can be better than watching it.
especially when watching it consumes much less of your life, as watching a harry potter movie takes much shorter than readin one of the books, and still, nothing is gained."

there is a difference between letting television waves soak into your brain as you stare wide-eyed at a flashing screen and using your brain to understand words on a page.
