ok, so what would have been the difference if it was a picture from the middle of the book or 3/4 of the way through? i dont' know what it all meant when i read those 2 pages - i've never read one book and i've only seen the 1st movie....so what the big deal abotu the last 2 pages to people who've never read the book?
Perhaps the sneering, condescending intent is to spoil the ending and ruin it for the adults she intends to belittle.
yeah, the day i care what other people think about where i find my enjoyment, please remind me it's time to die.
my mom and my aunt enjoy those books. and they are both in their 60s. they are also teachers, though.
my dad was an english professor and commander in the navy. he's 76. he's read them all and can quote from them extensively.
I love the books and I am an adult and that is that. Sometimes I like to take a break from reading Russian novels and Greek tragedies. Nothing wrong with that. Harry Potter is just fun and interesting.
whichi is an oddly childish move considering her seeming to find any adults who enjoy harry potter to be, well, childish anyway. i enjoy them. i like fantasy novels, i like modern fantasy particularly (todays world plus magic). charles de lint does it a bit better i find but harry potter is a nice lighthearted series, quick reads and an easy escape (at least for me, who reads as a form of escapism). i also enjoy rereading some of the silly "young adult" novels i used to read back in elementary and early high school because i really enjoyed them then as lighthearted reading. just because im over 18 doesnt mean i have to read boring, morose crap yknow or things that are heavy hearted or serious
I DON'T GIVE A FUCK WHO READS THIS POTTER SHIT/.. I was Asking What was the Attraction... Yeah... WTF All the Potter Nerds are Getting on the Defense/... How is that belittling or Sneering???????????~. But Anyway...I've Had my Laughs in Here.... STOP Taking EVERYTHING so Seriously Online...
Please do not provoke members. The one you are addressing got the forum worked up over her condescending and contemptuous attitude and has gotten yet another belly laugh at our expense. These little games would cease to be entertaining if we did not pay attention to them.
Cheesy Toe... Do Not Pretend that you know my Whole Psyche... I Do Not know you...And All you know of me are a few Posts Posted on an Online message Board... Try and Refrain From Following Through Every Thread I make...And Giving me a Free Psychoanslysis Each Time...
Yet another contemptuous, hateful, spiteful, condescending missive. Your loathing for people, particularly men, shines through. I don't know you but I get incredibly bad energy from much of what you post. I apologize for any unwarranted psychoanalysis and shall do my utmost to refrain from doing so. That way you can despise me in peace and silence.
Look... I Have Never Posted Anything that Hinted I Dispise you... You are Getting me so wrong... There was No Hate in that Post...Nor was I being Spiteful... Relax... You are Clearly Not on my Wave Lengh When it Comes to Humour... Sorry that you Feel I hate you...

much can be read between the lines so to speak. It won't be the first time I got something wrong.. it probably won't be the last It was the grand sum total of the posts that get me there. The two possible interpretations in my mind are playful or hateful. Again, it wouldn't be the first error on my part but I'm still left with an enduring impression of you- and all I have are your words and the context in which they are delivered. okay... When it comes at peoples' expense it is best to measure such humor more carefully lest it come across as excessively acerbic. This is not psychoanalysis... you come across as being frighteningly intelligent- with a keen instinct of how not to quite cross the line. Whether your motivation is amusement, spite, science, or whatever you have a talent for whipping people into and emotional frenzy. If you are truly sorry for the impact that your word choice has on people then you might consider toying with them a tad less. Much of what I read into your posts is filtered through what I've observed from you over the past year or so and whether they are right or wrong, there are some impressions that I can help but have. I'm appreciative of your taking the time to try and clarify matters.
