Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince - discuss the book (WARNING: SPOILERS!!)

Im not sure I belive it either... there are so many sites saying things... I also heard that it was Dumbledore on one site and Hermonie on another site and McGonagle on another site.. And JK has said it will be a main character so I think between all the sites we have a chance that one MAY be right.. Its anyones guess .. I guess we will all find out tommorow

ANYWAY...

Those who have it, how do you like it so far? I'm on chapter ten, and I'm loving every second of it.

 

Got it this morning, haven't starting reading it yet..

 

Once you start, you're going to find it nearly impossible to put it down (as like all other HP books). The only reason I'm not reading now is because I'm trying to get rid of this killer neck cramp. lol

 

I'm on the last 70 or 80 pages now. It's really good....I'm just annoyed that once I've read it I'll have to wait for ages for the next one

 

Finished it last night at 1.a.m ( yeah I'm an ageing HP compulsive ).....just to tell all you Ron lovers that Ron is fine......but there is an awfully sad bit in this one, won't spoil it for you all though.

 

this is so annoying i havent managed to get my copy yet and other people have and have told me certain things, i know who the half blood prince is, but thats it grrrrrr

 

I've finished it too.... The story is different from the others in that you can really see the younger characters becoming adults....and the ending ain't very happy.... It just leaves you wanting to read book 7.

 

I finished it yesterday, I thought it was better than the order of the phoenix.

 

IT IS SO .......raaa, wow, im very impressed, so exited for the next one now...anyone know when its coming out, lol. the are so many loose ends now....

 

I finished it on Sat. I couldn't put it down!

It was so sad and serious! It deals with a lot of issues that are quite mature.

It left me pondering so many aspects that will be answered in book 7.

 

I thought it was brilliant.... the trio have grown up a whole lot which I enjoyed....

I can't wait for the next book either. I thought the ending of HBP was brilliant.... He's really on his own now, but at the same time he's becoming an adult anyway.

 

I went and got it at 1 am when it was released, went to the bookstore with a colleague all dressed up! We were the only ones who actually were fully dressed up though, there wasn't near as much excitement as in England or the US! Still was fun though... Read all night, slept about four hours and finished it.

Btw, without giving away too much right here, I believe that what Harry thinks he saw is not quite what really happened... if you know what I'm talking about, I already wrote a different POV in a story I posted on fanfiction.net... WARNING: LINK CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS!!!!

Myranya....I loved the link, I confess to being a bit of a Snape fan:& ...so to me it was totally convincing .


Hope that is mysterious enough not to ruin anything for those of you who haven't read the book yet.

 

Reading over this thread makes me want to check out the book...but I haven't read any of the series. I watched part of one of the movies,but I was working while it was playing and missed most of it. It must be really great if all of you love it so much.

 

dammit, i was gonna wait cause i have other stuff to do, but i now have to go get it tonight.
