    I have become a bit of a harry potter fan over the past couoke of years

    Anyone else like the series?

    i love the HP books i've read them all more than once. go 2 ur library & get the books on CD & listen 2 them it's a whole new experience

    Another Roadside Attraction? Sure!
    But it isn't much like Harry Potter.
     
  10. I have read all the books at least three times and seen all of the movies. They are really imaginative. It is incredible.

    It certainly dosen't seem like HP, but it wouldn't hurt my to read different books

    It was Tom Robbins' first book, and I think he got a bit better at his style. To a new reader I'd suggest "Still life with woodpecker" or "even cowgirls get the blues" first. Then Jitterbug Perfume. Then whatever else, if you aren't bored of him by then.

    But this thread isn't about that.

    I just wondered why it was in "beat/hippie books" : )

    ThisBook has an "on the road " Type hippy vibe (never read or seen anything Harry Potter )
