Some people say that the sun shone out of Harold Wilson's arse. I didn't like the man then and continued to detest him down the years since.

It now transpires that he and the then Labour Government were mired in propping up the Nigerian regime in its war with Biafra and could be reposible for the death through starvation of more than 1 million children.

I don't know much about Nigeria's war with Biafra. What about the progressive things the Government did do? They were the pioneer of abolishing capital punishment, the Open University and decriminalized homosexuality long before many other countries did. It was a criminal offence in parts of Australia even in the 1980s!
Forming British Leyland and the subsequent nationalization was a complete train wreck. The British car industry was once the envy of the world.

Every Government has skeletons in the cupboard - 'Wilson' was only one in a long line of PMs that under their watch could have the finger of blame pointed at them.
What is his degree of culpability? and where does it lie in comparison with other British PMs? (both Red and Blue)?

But that doesn't expiate his guilt in the murder of hundreds of thousands of children through starvation as a result of the policies he pursued !!!
