im still unsure about whether i want to be attached to outcomes or attached to being detached from outcomes
the buddha had this problem. he said that we should keep the innocence of our inner child with us, but use the wisdom and understanding of an adult. we balance our selfs in the middle, we understand there is a problem and we use try to reason with the problem, but we understand from are innocence that the problem is only caused in our heads, it is just a game of the mind, and we don't let the problem take over. this way we learn from the sitituation, but we don't get indulged in it and let it take over.
yeah haha. there is only one thing to do, and that is to just be. (for all you new guys, much harder than it sounds)
After we are done being bhikkus I predict Mr. Writer will become the next great Bodhisattva called Smash Mushroom Man who is (was) known for his most famous saying "to hell with all this buddhist bullshit and just BE" - Smash Mushroom Man (Mr. Writer)
the buddha is one who is awake. we are all one at the end of the road, so whatever one it is it does not matter. the truth that buddha speaks is the truth of everyone.
yea, easiest and hardest thing all in one. everything in spirituality seems to be one big paradox huh?
did you know there was a buddha thousands of years ago, the very first buddha some say, who never said a word? Just imagine him, sitting around a fire with all those neanderthals and prehistoric plants, just watching and smiling, with no words to think or say because no words were there. I bet his glance was enlightening.
I'm sure someones said this, but feeling depressed and low is human nature. Its actually not healthy if you don't feel depressed, irritable, after something bad happens. Your body knows whats best for it, more than your conscious self. If you try to bottle up emotions they won't go away. They'll just move to your subconcious. Its similar to the grieving process, and how its not good if you don't go through the whole process and stop on one step like denial.
