I'm not familiar with that variety, but...

the hermie trait (ht) seems to be tied to the x chromozones, indicating that a male of the designated spiecies should be used in the intial breeding pair, not a female as is standard practice.

the female-host mother chosen should be of a strain as close to un-related to the subject male as is obtainable. a search of the gentic bank should indicate a sutible variety.

The result of the union should be back-bred M(new) to F (I)of the original
    and F(new) to M (II)of the original.

a male resulting from (I) is than bred to a F (II) and the offspring bred
intra bred m/f + f/m and than crossed and double back crossed followed by re0introduction of the orogonal gene pool with a double back cross and subsequent inbreeding.

    whew!

    does that make sense

So the males from the F2 ECSD seeds i have would be a better choice, actually Im wanting to take those to f4 before i outcross them.....So f4 males would less likely carry the trait? sounds reasonable to me.....
The east coast sour diesel CLONE ONLY is friggin screaming, one of the best smokes I ever had.. definetly top ten......
tastes like sour candied skunk or something unexplainable along those lines.
he high is really up yet stony creeper ...
Crossed with stinky the high was perfect in the f1, slightly moneoecious- just random stamens below the buds- no stray bannanas just pods.
the flavor to sour stinky is almost exact to the clone mom- but deeper or danker, with a grapy flavor to it.
definetly worth pursuing, and she turns black outdoors, totally black....
when i re-do these f2 SD seeds (from reservoir) I should have some for you.
Might not be until summer though.......Not sure when i can get to the SD breeding project, and after all the clones do just fine ....for now.
Im thinking a sour g would be fantastic as well. But im rather partial to the g as it is.

    O.K.
There is a problem of declining genepools and dissapearing strains in the world today...
Some of the old elites are getting hard to find, on the other hand the "clone only's" are being brought out in seed form now mostly s1 from SS or colloidal silver sex reversal and breeding clone to clone.
this does not soleve the problem of declining genepools however, because most of the problem lies in using too small of a genepool in the selective breeding process.
    No-body open pollenates anymore.
In the days when fields were open pollenated the landrace strains were strong, heriloom were kept through selective open pollenations, which most who claim to be breeders don't even understand.
It basically involves weeding out the stretchier first flowering males and females- but leaving a certain percentage of mutations and variations withing a strain insures virility and hardyness.
So my question at this point- would be ....
What old school strains could we re-create?- with old school methods, open pollenation and increasing the number of breeding subjects into a strain or "work in progress"- without introducing natural monoecious tendecy's from any landrace we might use in the process.......
I was going to re-create a roadkill skunk- but think maybe a search through tom's "Hill temple skunk" should do the trick there....
meangreen seems to like the couchlocks he is running, but he says the seedbanks don't have em- and those were feminnized that he had.
    I guess it's an NL5XAfghani cross...
Well I got NL seeds someone gave me, about 50 of them...And I got the -IBL original G-13 for an afghani... Couldnt finda better ghani in the 70's or 80's- not going to find one now -now that the world has gone through the changes it has since then.
I think the ATF dust in my drawer might make a better cross though, And i could hit one of my babies that are flowering now.....
Actually we already g-13XNL5Xkush beans forming as we speak- that might be fairly close to the couchlocks means running now come to think of it.......
have to spell it "koushlock" I suppose, to signify the introduction of kush to the pool.
Is that hardcore enough for ya geck, sure answers why i need dirt asap.
So yeah, im going to hit one of the ones just going into flower- that didnt get any "koushlock" beans on her to hit with my ATF dust....
ATFXG-13 sounds like a robot or computer model dont it?
    L.O.L.

Yeah the Sour diesel is clone only female- so id have to hit it with the desired pollen from the desired crosser. But being as the monoecious trait comes from SD itself, a second or third generation male should be chosen carefully and backcrossed to original the clone only mother.... Im not a fan bx as a method of strengthening traits myself....
Multiple subjects exibhiting the same desired traits would be more to my liking......
either way it's a long road to the desired results.....
