Harassing republicans in public is apparently the "good" kind of harassment.

So how do you define what her words mean? She leaves it up the LWNJs to decide. Did she denounce what they did to Huckabee? To the Fla atty general? Does she indicate whats acceptable and what isn't?

    See what?
The people in the shadows outside your house, waiting to come in and kill you?

I mean... does anyone really need to say that harassment is wrong?

Grabbing them by the pussy is acceptable.
Telling them to leave your establishment is not.

I use common dictionary definitions to define words. She never said anything about harassing people.

I don't know what your reference is about Huckabee, I missed that. Or the Florida attorney general.
Provide some links and I'll see what she said.

I've been following this story a bit on the RT news page. I think it's totally wrong to harass innocent people, whatever their politics.

And who's the fascist here. The left accuses Trump, but the socialist fascists are just as bad. And it is a form of fascism imo.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders visits the Red Hen, and Lexington, Virginia, reels in the aftermath

Waters ran her mouth after these took place. Had plenty of opportunity.

    THIS:

"Calling the press secretary a "gash" and a "****" and advocating that she have her children kidnapped is confronting a politician?"

I was defending civil confrontation, and took this to mean that you believed I was defending something that wasn't civil.
If that's not what you meant, then sorry.

Posing a rhetorical question is twisting your words and and claiming you demand cult like support of the Democrats?!?!?!

Are you sure I'm the one using straw man tactics here?

If it really is rhetorical, then yes, you are misrepresenting me, by connecting my argument in favor of productive confrontations to one in favor of counterproductive confrontations. If you had merely been asking for clarification, then it wouldn't have been.

    And then there's this:

Which not only has absolutely nothing to do with the point I was making (left-wing ideologies appeal to the peace and love crowd more than right wing ideologies), but again suggests I am claiming that every single person who leans left is somehow perfect. It is being expressed in a confrontational manner... and therefore I took it as a dishonest comment on what I have been saying.

In fact, I don't even know why you're bringing up tactics at all in response to what I was saying, since tactics are inherently apolitical-- they could even be used to get someone to make you a fucking sandwich. Are you just being irrelevant?

Obviously it's impossible to control the behavior of every single person in a political party, or who leans a certain way politically... why would this even need to be pointed out to anyone? Why the fuck would the actions of a single person or even a group of people impact one's political beliefs in any way??

If tactics are seriously all you care about, then you don't really believe in anything and you should stop pretending that you do.

Because I have since realized that we can't discern very well, I am justifying the anger, frustration and helplessness that led to this, not justifying the tactics that you believe Maxine Waters is calling for.

    You're a grumpy, grumpy, individual.

    "...pieces of shit."

    "...fucking sandwich."

    "...you and the other RWNJs."

In some ways, you are doing a fine job at proving the hypothesis in the OP's choice of thread title. You also read into things instead of simply reading things, and you also have a bad habit of latching onto posts that were never specifically directed at you in the first place. I put forth something hypothetical--without quoting you--that is open for anyone in this thread to answer, and you take it as if it is some personal attack on you.

You're like the left version of a certain yoga teacher who used to post here, and it makes it very difficult to want to engage you in any sort of debate. I feel like everything you type is adult version of "nuh-uh!!"

At least we stick to our guns, unlike those middle of the fence "Americans" who refuse to pick a side.

And that's the problem. If you "see is the right sitting on their collective asses trying beyond hope to hold the moral high ground. Even if it means capitulating to avoid conflict" you haven't been following Pat Buchannan, Anne Coulter, Ted Cruz, the Tea Party, or any of the crew at Fox over the years. Now that Trump is in office, you needn't worry about a "moral high ground." Are we living in an alternate universe or just floating along on that long African river?

And herein lies part of the problem. Why do we have to pick a side? I both like and abhor some of what both parties stand for. But yes, it appears to be clear that we now have to pick a side. You can't find a middle path. So if you push me into a choice, it won't be the left. Then I begrudgingly have to figure out how to hold my nose and support the segment of voters that I hate got Trump elected. But at the same time, value them because if it weren't for them, we would have another liberal in office.

If ever it was a time of the lesser of two evils. This is that time for me.

For lack of better term, we've been conditioned to believe that we have to.

And anyone who doesn't, confuses those who have.
