Harassing republicans in public is apparently the "good" kind of harassment.

Saturday on MSNBC, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) suggested people harassing, and protesting members of the administration of President Donald Trump at stores, restaurants, and gas stations was the new reality for the United States of America.

I admit I love Maxine, she's pure comedy gold most of the time. But harassing people is lame in any direction folks. So is threatening the children of DHS workers. So is chasing a woman out of a theater while spitting on her. Tossing the press secretary out of a chicken joint was an interesting touch. Not like she has anything to do with administration policy making. One thing is very clear though, these mobs of democrats are targeting women.

Surely this kind of bullshit can't be sustained.

And I'm certain the democrats know this. They've blown a gasket in California since a plan was "leaded" about housing illegal aliens in shuttered military bases in Concord and San Diego. Catch and release is over folks.

Maxine is doing a classic job of rabble rousing which will probably get people injured. Does that sound like responsible leadership? But then, she doesn't live in her district either, so I'm not surprised by her arrogance. What's funny is she seems to have finally backed off her insane impeachment rhetoric. I never heard why she actually thought Trump should be impeached. It just seemed more like the rantings of a deranged leftist who didn't get her way.

I'm no fan of Maxine Waters, in fact I think she's nuts. However, women have also been targeted by those on the right, notably at abortion clinics...and sometimes it has turned deadly. I don't recall any Republicans calling for people to back off in those instances. Any sort of fanaticism can be dangerous.

Well it was video, so I paraphrased.

    Here's 2 quotes from Maxine:
“I have no sympathy for these people that are in this administration who know it’s wrong for what they’re doing on so many fronts. They tend to not want to confront this president or even leave, but they know what they’re doing is wrong. I want to tell you, these members of his cabinet who remain and try to defend him, they won’t be able to go to a restaurant, they won’t be able to stop at a gas station, they’re not going to be able to shop at a department store. The people are going to turn on them. They’re going to protest. They’re absolutely going to harass them until they decide that they’re going to tell the president, ‘No, I can’t hang with you.’ This is wrong. This is unconscionable. We can’t keep doing this to children.”

“We’ve got to push back. We’ve got to say no. I, for example, have stepped way out there. I said this man needs to be impeached. I know a lot of people think we’re not ready to say that. Some people have said a long time ago he would become presidential. He will never be presidential. This man does not have any good values. I believe he needs to be impeached. As a matter of fact, a long time before he’s doing what he’s doing now with these children. I think he had done enough to undermine this country and to have us understand we cannot trust him, that we should have come with an impeachment resolution. So, I believe we cannot wait until the next presidential election. We have to resist him. I want to see him impeached.”

Guess I was wrong about her impeachment rants, they're alive and well.

This is an odd comparison. Republicans never endorsed maniacs attacking abortion clinics, not once. There were never any mobs of republicans attacking abortion clinic personnel and certainly not over administration policies.

According to Vox (2015) "Since 1977 there have been eight murders, 17 attempted murders, 42 bombings, and 186 arsons targeted at abortion clinics and providers" None of that was ever sanctioned or endorsed by a republican lawmaker.

We got a twofer baby, a twofer, ….

The first was DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen who was heckled out of a Mexican restaurant, and the second was the owner of the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia (whom I salute)
by expelling that fat ugly pig Sarah Sanders

I don't agree with harassing anyone. However, if people can refuse to bake a cake because of something that has nothing to do with them, then I don't consider it harassment to kick a bigot out of a restaurant.

You left out another example. EPA head, whoever the name, was cotinually harrassed so much that the Secret Service ask for permission to fly first class to help better manage the risk. Which was approved and later became fodder for the left.

So yeah it appears that civil disobedience has become the chosen path. This bullying coming from the party that supposedly stands against it.

I say bring it. If it's OK for them, it's OK for all. May as well get this civil war going.

I see where a White Supremist group has been granted a permit to legally speak/protest on the anniversary of Charlottesville. They get equal treatment by law. The left will I'm sure bitch about it. They are not interested in equality.

I suspect there will be a huge uptick in assault cases and lot of accidental and self defense loss of life in the courts in the coming months. Attorneys will make fortunes.

Probably shouldn't go out of your way to harass anyone I don't think.

She isn't telling people to do anything.
She is predicting that the people will turn on them after this nightmare bottoms out and even Trump's supporters finally realize what has happened.

The racism, the sexism, the Christian fascism, the trade war, the destruction of America's global standing, the influence of Putin on policy, the money laundering, the sexual assaults, the pay-for-play, the warmongering that is extreme even for a US president, the election interference... all of it is going to be exposed. Trump and his cabinet will be worse than Nixon-- a disgraced, unforgiven criminal whose place in history will serve as a symbol of just how bad America allowed itself to get.

This is what is lost on many gun owners. They are so open about their plans to use it on other Americans and that is the "right" to them. Little by little they will loose that right because the real issue is many people who would want the gun in the first place are not stable people. It's the whole reason for seeking it out. The so called rational "good guy" is really rare.

And I say that as a NRA member (not practicing) who has been around them. The war is not with Uncle Sam it's with people who say "happy holidays" and like Bernie Sanders.
