My real diagnosis is "completely fucking bonkers".At least that's what my psychiatrist said. And I think the spell check\word suggestion function on my phone is telepathic. We'd better not mention the alien spiders spying on me and sending the info to MI5.

It's more of a experiential drop-in encounter group. We do art therapy on Thursdays mornings, then get stoned and get the clay out.The cooking rota needs organizing though.Any suggestions?

    @good idea,Iron John...to hold a group together one NEEDS organisation...and involvement...
of course it's bit like a virtual chatbox in here=reality would show up differently and more difficult perhaps?
but...in my opinion it was a great idea of Scorpio Kenny to set up a house like this here..
we certainly can do much more regarding to learn to understand the human mind without getting into the negativity of life....
I'm talking about music, dicussions of all kinds, just sharing of thoughts==positive thoughts that is.. :bulb:
you got any ideas,Iron?there are perhaps 25 rooms in this large San Francisco house in Oak street..
wanna know HOW many are really occupied...maybe 4..I've seen better days here.. :bandana:
everybody is welcome...if this house needs re organisation..then it should be done...
i reckon this place is too beautiful to neglect..everybody is welcome...but show your guts..nobody bites in here...
we got dogs, cats, and even a goat who eats sandals..
P.S..It's all a matter of living together virtually and sharing ideas...oh yes..we need a cook...
who can cook for a group once a week...everybody is free to bring up a discussion topic which we'll talk about in the lush garden..
there is a way of getting high in a natural way...but we are tolerant about pot..but no hard drugs,please..
house pets allowed=dogs, cats, hamsters etc...but do not bring a rhinoceros or an elephant along...

P.S...i have stalled my motorscooter here..ask for the key...anyone can use it...
be careful...and do not crash it in San Francisco streets(ah)

I think I was confusing this place with the therapeutic community I lived in for four and a half years. Each night one of us would cook and we had in house movement and art therapy.I believe in communal living.I would like to try a commune again, there's one in Devon I found, but I'm waiting to sell my Mother's house which I can't do yet as I am letting her partner who is a sick old man live there.

Boy, have I had a busy morning!

We have a group of raccoons living in the attic of our garage. My family (mom and her husband) and our landlord insisted that we call critter control to come remove them. Critter control came and put out a live trap about 3 days ago, and I found a raccoon in it about 2am this morning. I brought the trap inside and called critter control this morning, they were supposed to come get her at some point today, but not until tonight. I go out to bring the raccoon some food and water and find this raccoon attempting to give birth in the trap! I knew she couldn't have them there, so I called critter control to see if they would let me open the trap door and let her out so she can go have them. Critter control was super adamant that I not touch their trap, so I called up a wonderful wildlife rehabilitator. She was able to convince the critter control guy to let her take the trap with her and take the raccoon to a lady who will let her have the babies in her house and take care of her. However, the lady that came to pick her up soon realized it was probably too late for the babies.

I was so devastated, I didn't want to trap these raccoons in the first place- we can't keep them in the attic, but spring is when they have their babies- it's inhumane in my opinion to trap them during this season. I named her Pawsie Pawsbourne. I just feel so terrible that this mother raccoon only came out of the attic to find nesting materials, and ended up in this trap, and now her babies are dead. The thing is, at 2 am when I saw her in the trap, I was battling in my mind whether or not I should just open the trap door and let her free, not knowing she was pregnant, but I thought to myself, "If I do that, she'll just go back in the attic and we'll have to call critter control and they'll just bring a less humane trap out." If I would have let her out, she would have safely had her babies and lived happily.

It just reminded me that if something doesn't sit right with your soul, it's probably not right. My spirit animal is the raccoon, so they have a very special place in my heart. It makes me reflect on my morals, my sense of right and wrong. I knew it was wrong to trap the coons, but I didn't act. I'm glad I was able to get the coon to a rehaber before she got stuck with the mean critter control who would have just thrown her out on the side of a road. The ladies who are taking care of her are going to keep me updated on her, and I plan to do all I can to have them remove the raccoons for us in the future.

    Here's some pictures of her.

This is from 2am when I saw her in the trap. Looks like she's begging to get out :c

Update: apparently my furry friend passed away on the way to the rehabilitator :C
The good news is she wasn't lactating, so she didn't already have babies that would have been orphaned in the attic.
I spoke to the lovely woman who came to pick her up and transport her, I am going to be apprenticing under her and possibly assisting in raising some orphans. Anything I can do to give back to the wildlife.

Rest in peace, Pawsie Pawsbourne. Rest in peace.

can you check your attic and block up any openings with steel wool, so it does not happen again.....Is it a tree they are climbing to get in...Look at all of the possible ways of entry and solve that problem for the future.

Well, the plan is to let them live their until Summer when the babies are leaving to find their own homes, and then remove the adults. The wildlife rehab lady is going to come humanely remove them all for us when the time comes, and then we'll block all the holes so this situation doesn't arise in the future. Personally, I didn't mind having them up there since I didn't notice it, lol, though I know we probably shouldn't have an attic infested with coons. It's our landlord who insisted they go, but trapping them this time of year is a terrible idea- it's their birthing season.

I plan to make a $150 donation to the rehab lady tonight and in memory of that poor raccoon. It's just so sad we can't coexist peacefully.

I was thinking about that poor raccoon in your photos...She may have been on her back, as she was already dieing and was uncomfortable...It is too sad to think about....:(
Could it have been stress or old age that killed her? What do you think she died from?

The rehab lady said that when she came out of the attic down to the ground (where the trap was), she was probably on the hunt for some last minute food and nesting materials before she would have went back up to the attic to give birth that night. She probably found the marshmallows in the trap, innocently wandered in there, and ended up trapped. We had no idea she was pregnant until I went out there and saw this red thing hanging out of her. The rehab lady came out and said it was placenta. Basically the raccoon was attempting to give birth in the trap, but due to the cramped space, she couldn't access her vagina to help pull the placenta out, so she put herself into that position on her back to attempt to push out the placenta like a human would a baby.
I would have opened the trap, but I had no idea how to work it and when I called Critter Control to get instructions and permission to mess with the trap to get it open, they told me I could not touch it due to liability and legal stuff. That's why I didn't open it- I had no idea this raccoon was giving birth or anything, I thought it was some sort of organ prolapse.

So the rehab lady (who specialized in rabbits and squirrels) got permission from Critter Control to take the trap with her to deliver the raccoon to a lady who specialized in caring for raccoons, loaded the trap up in the back of her car, and the raccoon passed away before they could make it to the raccoon specialist.

The official cause of death was deemed to be the raccoon basically having a miscarriage- she wasn't able to have her babies when they were due, and she died attempting to give birth.
