As for roamy, I'm afraid that we're going to need to put together a hippie squad and go to Dublin and buy a used van and then drive out to her countryside and do a search and rescue mission and go looking for her.

I'll start looking on-line at prices for round trip air fares.

    What do you think???

In a way, Tiger, you are right... at least in my case. I'm so wrapped up in my real "fantasy house" it get's hard to come up with anything applicable to a house that once existed in SF and has since grown into this thread, which is a wonderful concept, don't get me wrong, but it's like a playhouse. Going back to the start, coffee roasters and magical tabs, tripping parties where I can float through rooms and out into the garden without touching the ground. A full blown studio in the basement with real bands showing up for a jam. Fun stuff... But the reality for me is after 8 hours, or 12 hours of cutting wood for my heat, or installing doors and windows in my real house, it's just not in me. I don't know what to post here.

Hell, for the last two years I've been so busy with my real house I'm no closer to being able to use my actual studio than I was when I bought this place, which was one of the reasons I bought this house to begin with. There were other reasons for buying this place too, which seem to have fallen aside as well, but it's still where I need to be.

In short, I could come in here and grumble about my chronic pain, or how much work I'm having to do to fix screwups that paid contractors left me with and now I have to do it myself... You know, it doesn't fit the vibe of "here"...

So, yeah... Every time this thread comes to the top of the list I read with interest, but I don't know what to post. I'm still here... I'm just not "here" if you get my meaning.

Love Ya, Tyrsonwood. You're entitled to say anything that you want, cause you live here. Whether it's grumble or sing too loud. LOL And we all do love to hear Ya. You've always got something REAL to say in a Fake house. LOL

It's all about BEING TOgether. That's the only reason for any of us to be here.
    To relate and to communicate.

    Love Ya.

You see. They thought that I was just joking when I stated, "I'm afraid that we're going to need to put together a hippie squad and go to Dublin and buy a used van and then drive out to her countryside and do a search and rescue mission and go looking for her."
I've thrown together Hippie Rescue Missions all of my life.

This is getting REAL. Now if only we could find you some additional people, a guitar, and some bongos in order to make the trip a fun adventure. That would be Hippie Rescue Squad style. Really!

Way cool, Mallyboppa! I'll call Ranger. He might have a lead on what town she hangs out in, or perhaps a phone number, if we're really lucky. We shall see.

    Love Ya, Our intrepid explorer.
And keep up the good work. LOL

Love Ya, Tiger man. You are always right in the central people thing, in the house. You're the best!

I feel that new people do look in and read most of the time. If they do happen to talk we need to draw them into more of a conversation. Maybe ask them to share about who they are and what they're into. Get them to move in, also.

The more we talk, the more and bigger we grow. Back when it was going good and the house was big, we all talked a lot. It made a difference. A flow of conversation and ideas and fun things to do together.
We use to play in the Play House.

    Thanks Tiger!

I reckon this hippie house needs a revival..otherwise it will become a house full of spider webs, like in a ghost house...
where are all these nice people gone who used to live here?the foundations of this house are on shaky grounds..
I said in an earlier post that nobody knows what to post here..if we look at this forum some threads are full of bullshit talk??
I used to go into the chatroom long time ago..same thing happens over there...some folks take interest..then they disappear..no interest anymore..
and that's exactly what happened to this house...it's a house with lots of empty rooms...if housemates do not wanna take interest..then it's like that..
internet is more then showing we are here just to get the attention...it could be a way to discuss life..but it has to be put in the right way..
if we look at social media sites like facebook..some people will post the most silly stuff just for the sake of posting only..
it is in my eyes useless to post anything if it does not hold anything valuable in life=something we can learn from..
nobody is willing to open a serious discussion here...well...I put one==how do you see this house..does it have a future?and why folks stay away?
next discussion will be=are you happy with your life?or not?and why not?
we should all go for contentment in our heart...that's a start..it will radiate into the ones we really care for..
    life..is not a superficial thing...it's serious stuff..

anything valuable in life=something we can learn from..
Yes, Myself, I feel that getting experience and feeling and the points of view of other people is a most valuable thing in life. But I feel that if we use the word "learn" then many people get a negative reaction immediately, because they hated school and they think in the negative whenever they hear the word "learn". Sort of a mentalblock.

    Sad but true.
However learning is really the coolest thing that you can do in life. It makes you bigger and better.

==how do you see this house..does it have a future?and why folks stay away?
Tiger, I'm always stupidly Positive. I see this house space as a grow space for everyone. Fun. Exchanging ideas. Everything and anything.
Heck. We are even mounting a search party for roamy in our spare time, here.

This space is real, as long as we are real, here.
    We make it.
New folks can be a part of the adventure. The adventure is LIFE.

=are you happy with your life?or not?and why not?

Basically, I always happy in my life. I live a stupidly over cool life. I've made a life long study out of how to fine tune getting the most and the best with an easy amount of effort or work. For a long time now my lifestyle has been engineered to be working real long and hard with an intense focus, and putting back a batch of money, and then not having to work for the longest time and then doing whatever I wish to do in my life. Leisure Life. My Life. At one point in my life I was pulling in 36 to 56,000 dollars per year while working only 62 percent of the year. That's like working 3 weeks and not working for 2 weeks. Not many folks can get away with that one. That was a great union job and as a journeyman I can always go back to it. Now, I'm retired and I still work at home on my computer. No commuting or traffic for cash.

Not everybody is like me. Not every one can picture designing and engineering a path and procedure to create a type of life that they might desire. But as long as I'm going to be around for a while I figured that I might as well take steps to make my life better as I go forward in my life. Smart? You decide.

Life is a joy. And I'm in love. On the down side, I need to lose weight and be more active. And I wish that life could be more open with people and tight with people, like it used to be in the '60s.
Everybody is in their own little space and isolated. That's called perfect slavery. They don't even know any better, so they think that it's normal. Everyone is a lonely machine.

People who need people are the luckiest people in the world. As the song says.
We are tribal creatures. Just as wolves run in packs. We are suppose to be together. With friend and buddies. People being in groups is the nature order of being human. So, why is everyone Okay with being all alone?

You guy tell me, cause I will never understand that one. Please help me to get that.

Good morning gentle hippies. I am new here/ old here meaning I was a member many years ago and dropped off due to differences with other members. Then the other day I thought " I wonder if hip forums is still up and running? " Well you know what? It is. The sad part is,its a ghost of what it used to be. I don't think Facebook killed it but it i. njured it really badly. It's good however to see a thread that is more than just mindless prattle and food pictures.
I hope to breathe a small breath of life here if you'll accept me. I have limited access but I'll check whenever I can.
I remember you oldtiger you sage, from the mid 2000's I think it was. Its good to see you still around. You wouldn't remember my old alias because I misused my profile.
Its almost 10 years later..2015 a new year and a new start.
    Namaste,
    Chaz

Hey Chaz. Welcome to the commune. Good to see you dropping in to these forums. There's always something going on.
Here's a space to get to know people. Most everybody here is interesting and a potential new friend forever. Ya never know.

This thread is based on a real commune house back in the day but it's mostly about having a home on the web "Where Everybody Knows Your Name". Your new home.

    Welcome home.

If you're just staying for a little while then the crash pad in the basement. Hang out. If you want to hang out long term, then pick a bedroom upstairs and move in.

I am limited on internet access I'll say again, but if you'll have me I'll take a room down the hall. Ill hang my tapestry over there and my small bed in the corner and my posters there...lol sounds like the room I'm in now :)
I have been searching for like minded people for so long now. I truly fell out of the loop. I got sucked into Facebook but no one there gets me. I am starving for hip vibes man. Is this the place where I'll find it?

My soul has a black spot and I already feel a strong vibe in this house and I haven't even read through here yet. Felt free to show me around and hopefully meet some others as well.

I named myself deacon because I'm too young to be an old hippie and too old to be a young one. I feel lost right now and maybe need some guidance back to the path if anyone is so inclined to help. If not I'll be over here with a book and some incense.

On a lighter note..I love music and to dance so if im dancing through the halls please join me :) I love to laug and I love a witty joke. Ask me sometime and I might tell you one. Please add me as a friend. I do love friends
Well I'll be back soon. *snuffs the candles and puts out the incense*
    Namaste

Tiger, I have some tools and I'm willing to reinforce the foundation of this old house if you'd like. We can throw on some paint and redo the floors man. Im here if you want me to be.
I'll start with a thing or two just t get conversation going..
I was touring with this guy once and it was raining cats and dogs outside ..he stuck his hand out the window and said " it sure is humid out today" I said " what do you think the levels are 100%?"
This same genius told me " beef is not authentic Mexican food" to which I replied "so the burrito I had in Mexico city, made by a Mexican man was not authentic? "
Please share the words of "wisdom" you've heard with me. (And if beef isn't authentic Mexican food I'm sorry lol)
