but don't hey hava catflap in the door to come in an out when they feel ike it ?whats a coyote.are they them american animals that look like foxes ?where did prissy go? an the setters she raised ?we had a fox once called charlie.my dad saved him in the field, when the hunthounds killed his mother.but when he was big enough ta mind himself dad intergrated him slowly back ta his rightful home in the woods again.but he did come back ta visit me a few times.sometimes just standing at the top of the field looking down at me playing.i used ta wave at him.an then he'd turn around an go back inta the woods again. welcome home peril
Because we need to keep the coons, skunks, snakes, etc out. A coyote is somewhere between a fox and a wolf. I've seen them as big as german shepards only they are thiner somewhat like a greyhound in bone structure. They eat cats. We lost Sterling to them shortly after moving here. He and Sai were raised in our van while we were on the road and wouldn't come in at night. Sai now has a lady who lived out for months after being abandoned and learned to sleep aloft and welcomes the chance to sleep inside and sees to it the others do also. Prissy (@19yrs) left us as did the setters, Aruba & Niaryte in thier old age.
hi aery.i kinda felt a bit sad after writing about chalie.but i'm ok now again.i have a little inchlong scar on the front of my right hand thats still visible, if you look at it close up.charlie gave it ta me when we were playing in the grass together. we were just wrestling around an he bit me playfully.i looked down at it when i was talkin' about him an remembered how much i still really miss him even all these years later.cos he was one of the best animals friends i ever had.but i'll always have him in my happy memories.charlie was a hip fox. :coffee:ie:
Yes, animals touch our lives and they ingrain themselves on our memories very deeply. I know your feeling, Roamy. It's very bittersweet, isn't it? :grouphug:
That. I have scars on my left ankle from where Sterling unaccountably attacked me as I walked by one day. The bite became quite infected and I wound up at the ER where they took one listen to my heart and rushed me into surgery for a 4way bypass and so in his last weeks he saved my life.
Yes, great acts of love the animals do for us. Probably the only unconditional love the exists.
That's a great story about the fox, roamy.... I know that feeling of loss though, it always hurts. Kind of odd situation there, Ranger, but it all worked out for the best. Animals somehow just know things that we can't understand and they can have weird ways of telling us about them.
I have no doubt what so ever Sterling knew what was needed. I'm thankful we had time to share togeather before I left for the VA and he met his coyote. His spirit is still with us.
Here's a great page about The Cat's House. I want to do some of these little renovations in my house IRL. http://www.dogonews.com/2010/11/8/the-cats-house-is-paws-itively-fabulous And the first of 3 videos about The Cat's House https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eF0amLYBBLM"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eF0amLYBBLM
It All Starts Here. LOL Okay, so then in the middle of the night Kenny walks into the living room and go to the corner of the room near the bathroom (where the little letter "s" is on the First Floor map). When no one is around he touches the wall and slides open a secret panel. He fusses with the location settings and then pushes a button. Then he slides the panel closed and leaves. http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showpost.php?p=7286224&postcount=10 Our Living Room. Where's the secret panel?
So, now if we walk out of the front door: http://www.oregoncountryfair.org/pdfs/visitormap.pdf However the backyard is still the same.

I'll post as soon as I get on the computer, its not 100% yet and I still need to decorate it but they absolutely love it! And I'm pretty happy seeing as its been my first build and I managed it alone!
Hi MamaPeace, I'm proud of you! I moved the house. For the weekend. 13, 14 15. I hope that you have fun at the Fair right outside of the front door. We all get Free Passes on hanging neck lanyards. They're on the little table just in side the front door. I put a bunch of electric wheel chair scooters in our driveway ready to go. Anyone can go in and out of the garage door, it's electric. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon_Country_Fair Have some Brownies. Fresh. I made a ton. Both kinds.
Aerianne: thanks for the video about the cats house. I think I saw a segment about them on Animal Planet. Really cool stuff. My cat would love that kind of stuff. Thanks also to Roamy and Old Tiger for your animal stories. I was up a little too early this morning. Going to try to catch another hour sleep.
Woohoo Oregon fair here I come! Hmmm what to do first? The brownies are lovely Kenny, kicking in too. This will be a fun day if anyone needs me I'll be over at the drum circle, by Drum tower, seems anyone with a drum can join in so why not?!
