Nope, I didn't see the London riots. The news in the U.S. is arranged by the corporates now. We only hear about dogs doing tricks and woman's earring styles, anymore. That's the U.S. news now-a-days. And I watch CNN. LOL. What a joke they have become. I get more international information from Jon Steward The Daily Show. http://www.thedailyshow.com/ Land of the Free, my ass.
If the house does move in time and space you can still always get in and out to where ever you wish to go. Not to worry. You can always walk back in the front door from anywhere. Think about it. old tiger always walks in the front door from Belgium. if he can do that, he can do ANYTHING! And you can walk in from Mars. No problem.
Speaking of News. ((from Mars)) I heard last night in a news story that Arizona gets the second highest amount of lightening strikes in the United States. Second only to Florida. Who Knew???? Also, that Right Now is Monsoon season in Phoenix, Arizona. It seems that they had a massive lightening storm and a deluge last night, and that this will reoccur for the next three days. One would never have guessed. And the rest of the world is dieing from too much heat. So, is that odd or what?
I lived in Phoenix at one point... Those monsoon rain storms are intense. Phoenix is where I taught guitar building.
We got maybe an hour on and off of sprinkles/fain/storm day before yesterday and nothing yesterday. The roses are thirsty! We're a mile higher in the mountains then you there in the flatlands Kenny, we're susposed to get more store storms here in the mountains.........

I might check it out for a while. I do miss a good communal shower...However, the event looks a bit contrived/commercial for my tastes. Yes, I followed news of the London riots. So much violence... I'm so glad that you and BabyPeace had somewhere to go AND that you had somewhere to return home to...the fires looked awful. I'm in
Teaching guitar building sounds cool. Do they have laws against that sort of thing in Ohio? In other words, why did you quit teaching????
Okay so we were trying to get some feedback on the idea of moving the house through time and space to the Oregon Country Fair for the weekend. Yeas an Neys. http://www.oregoncountryfair.org/ We have passes for us all. Pictures http://www.google.com/search?q=Oreg...f.,cf.osb&fp=42ad0b9b9e197d1&biw=1008&bih=798
Mama: reading this reminded me of something I read several years ago about the concept of Wabi-Sabi which is a Japanese philosophy of finding and seeing beauty in simplicity, the ordinary, and the imperfect. Beauty in things that are modest and humble. After reading about this I stopped being obsessive about trying to make the perfect quilt or sweater. On purpose I would not sew in every last piece of yarn or thread. I am sure that your house will be more than fine. The things we make are not perfect. They are not permanent. That is the charm and the beauty of our expressions. :2thumbsup:
The most recent news of London that I heard was yesterday. They were talking about putting missiles on the top of apartment buildings. The people living in the buildings were thinking this would make them a target. Apparently the judge did not care and dismissed the case. I would not want to live in those buildings either. :hide:
See my feedback in post #2851. Is it just me or does it seem to others that Kenny's pc is on some sort of lag? He doesn't seem to be getting replies sometimes.
If only they had listened to me and put missiles on top of the World Trade Center Towers, those 3,000 people would still be alive today. What a tragedy. What a shame. Those poor families.
I would call it working, and then only peeking in here once in a while and just taking a glance. (Not reading everything.) Sorry. I'm back to work.
Kenny: I thought you knew you could move the house anywhere you want and we can still find it. I am fine as long as I can walk on flat ground, have plenty of water and spend most of my outside time in the shade somewhere. When I was a kid we went to the NY State Fair and saw Louis Armstrong. Most of what I liked about fairs then was to see the animals (horses, sheep, bunnies etc.) That is probably still what would draw me. :2thumbsup:
Yeah they are going ahead and doing it despite the fact none of the locals want them too! I've had fighter jets fly low over my flat, scary!
