Nah! Conveyancing lawyer says it will take 6 to 12 weeks and things could still go wrong. Who knows what they do in all that time! I mean, how long does it take to type up a contract? And it's all computerised nowdays! Oh well, it's a mystery to me.

I reckon August/September???? Which means I can't really plant out my vegetables this year because we won't be here to harvest them.

I know that here they do a Title Search. That can take a while. Every party who has owned the property in the past. The entire history.

Then they search all court and civil records to make certain that no one has any legal claims against the real property, or leans against the property. It's probably the same, there. Our laws here copy your laws there. Right'O !!!

Yes I've got stuff planted in pots that I will take with me, but I usually grow all our vegetables. Not this year! Hounds and Bastard are doing great!

When I lived in London we used to go to an illegal (non-official) pub called The Dog and Vomit. It was in someone's cellar.

Just back from the doc. I haven't been able to go to the doc for 3 years...no money...so he's going to put me on some meds and have me back in a few weeks for cortisone in my knees. I can hardly wait! Seriously, I've needed help.

So, I ate some ramen noodles, I'm going to make coffee now and crank some tunes while I dive back into sorting through closets, etc.

My daughter and my grandson are moving in before school starts again. That's what's up with all the cleaning and sorting. I'm moving out of the room I've had for 26 years and giving it to them. It has the attached bath. I'll be moving to a smaller room.

Anyway, afternoon coffee, here I come!!!

 

I like this thread. I havent really had the pleasure of talking to most of you on the forum so this is cool.

I'm currently bored at work. I have an office job. I give myself one more year and then I quit. I don't care how good my pay/benefits/salary is, I can't do this anymore!

 

Let's talk some more about painting the sitting room...

I had an idea. Let's pick 4 colors; a different one for each wall. Then bring the color from each wall up onto the ceiling so that that meet at a point in the center.

How does that sound? My brother's room used to be like that.

 

I like it. Are we going for something soothing? Psychedelic? Vibrant?...
