Happy Earth Day! But does anyone care anymore? At least we are still alive on this planet, but for how much longer? Can the human race outlive its technological boom and doom?
the only green a lot of people care about is dollar bill. IMO thats a huge problem and will probably do us in
Prospects look bleak in the long term, but there's also a multitude of good people doing great things.I don't know how things will work out for future generations, but I personally had to let go of a lot of concern because worrying about the whole world and the people too much can really get you down and fuck your head up.I think the best advice I gave to myself was to appreciate what I have and be thankful for small blessings.I've never been motivated by money.I don't see an immanent revolution, but I think a lot of people are waking up.I say celebrate life and learn to accept the uncertainty and chaos with a brave face.
The earth should be the main priority...but it is not for the the people who keep getting richer....and other people just don't give damn.....It is has always been my fight, especially for the other living things onthis planet.... I don't have hope, either many days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9BA6fFGMjI
I used to plant a tree every year on Earth Day... Lately it has been too cold this early in the spring. Gonna go down to 30 tonight. That Cottonwood is just going to have to wait a week or so.
NPR had a segment on the admin who coined the term earth day.. Guess he was also famous for creating what was voted the best/succesful 20th century ad campaign. VW's little bug "Think Small"
earth gave this part of the world the most perfect spring day with which to celebrate today. Thanks earth.
It is a very nice day and a good idea, and on this day, I saw so much reactions from all over the world, people who care about our environment that we are living in - thats fantastic, and qutie a lot of fantastic ideas came up.
