I don't recall us calling sparkling wine champagne. prior to joining the EEC. Neither have I heard about us changing our trading standards laws.

Idiots who think that they are free to break OUR laws are in for a shock.

I was just thinking about it this afternoon. Like it or not, the United Kingdom now shares something in common with July 4th. In 1776, and for reasons not altogether different, the 13 original colonies declared their independence.

Now then. This isn't me saying I see it as the leavers see it. Nor am I siding with the remainers. What I am doing is being taken aback. I realize for lack of a better term that the discussion has become polarized & partisan if you will. And I think there is so much dignity in the UK. There's no reason we can't put aside our perspectives and be glad that there is a chance for a new beginning.

Though we may differ in our opinion as to whether we've come to this decision in error, we can surely all recognize a path forward when we see one.

I see a birth & a bright future. I see a tomorrow for all of you and I wish you only the best.
