Hand Sanitizers Kill Viruses?

Do alcohol-based hand sanitizers kill viruses? My information is mixed.

A pharmacist a while ago said basically 'no'. But my physician shortly before he retired said yes.

So presently I am just confused.

 

Not particularly.

If you are sick don't go anywhere.

For example if you get a cold you can get that by being breathed on and sneezed on.
If you get a bout of gastro it's all to do with what you are sitting on and using.

So no.

Stay home if you are ill.

But they do !!! - which is why I have a little tot of Brandy in my coffee first thing in the morning several days a week - keeps germs and viruses at bay !!!
