Choad From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Redirected from Chode) Jump to: navigation, search Look up choad in Wiktionary, the free dictionary. Choad, also spelled chode, is a slang word referring to parts of the male anatomy. It can also refer to a penis that is wider than it is long. A lesser-used definition refers to the choad as another word for the taint or grundle. Depending on usage and context, it takes on various literal meanings: Penis, the male reproductive organ (sometimes referring specifically to a penis that is wider than it is long, as in its girth is of more substance than its length.) Scrotum, the flesh surrounding the testes Perineum, the region between the scrotum and anus The Jargon File states that "chode" is: A synonym for ‘penis’, used in alt.tasteless and popularized by the denizens thereof .... This term is alleged to have been inherited through 1960s underground comics, and to have been recently sighted in the Beavis and Butt-head cartoons. Speakers of the Hindi, Bengali and Gujarati languages have confirmed that ‘choad’ is in fact an Indian vernacular word equivalent to ‘fuck’; it is therefore likely to have entered English slang via the British Raj. [1] In addition to the denoted anatomical meanings, "choad" is also used as a general purpose insult, akin to dick. The spelling "chode" is, coincidentally, also the past tense form of the English verb "chide", meaning "to loudly admonish in blame or to angrily reproach". In the context of technology, "choad" or "chode" refers to a block of deleted, undefined, or bad memory. [edit] Cartoons In addition to Beavis and Butt-head, the word has occurred in other cartoons: In Tripping the Rift, the protagonist is a three-eyed, purple alien spaceship captain named Chode. Raised by a sexually promiscuous single mother, Chode is known for his oversexed behavior. He is voiced by actor Stephen Root. The cartoon Ren and Stimpy features a fictitious brand of breakfast cereal called "Lucky Chodes". In the cartoon South Park Kyle once refers to his little brother as a chode. In another episode, Stan admits that he feels like a total chode, to which Cartman replies that he looks like one. The word Chode is also used in a game of cards called "Popes and Chodes", it is just another name for the more popular card game "Presidents and Assholes". Chode is refering to the loser of each round of the game.
