Anyone else watch this show? I just started watching this show, I had never heard of it before until seeing the new season advertised, when I saw the name I knew it would be a good show. So far I really enjoy the show. It portrays a group of people involved in a small software company (a recent startup i think, only seen a couple of them so far) that designs online games. The show is set in the 1980s and consists mostly with the characters dealing with software problems and bugs, which they have to come up with a fix for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBF38GXVzH4
when I saw your post I though "sounds like a meager premise to base a show on" so I went and found season 1. just finished watching episode 1 and I like it. thanks for bringing it to my attention.
It's brilliant. Anyone who lived through this time can relate. There are some mistakes, but it's a decent story with some well aligned characters.
i'm torrenting it now via the link you sent me. i'll have to catch myself up on the series. something about this show brings on this sense of nostalgia. the history of computing is actually pretty fascinating to me. things were definitely a lot simpler back then as far as software goes. iirc facebook runs on about 50 million lines of code, it takes a lot more to produce a marketable software product nowadays because everyone's doing it.
yeah, I ended up doing the marathon thing yesterday and have watched all of them except for season 2 ep 3 which I just downloaded a few minutes ago. :dizzy2: but yeah, you definitely need to watch the first season because the character played by Lee Pace is FUCKING INSANE...LOL
