Half Moons!

So, I'm in NY with my boyfriend. He keeps running to the local bakery and picking up a half dozen of these cookies. They are called half moons or black and white cookies. They are more like small cakes than cookies . They are sooooo good, I can't stop eating them (and I never eat junk!).




I think my boyfriend is determined to break my healthy eating habits.

Oh well, it's worth it!

I used to eat those as a kid.

 

I've never seen those

 

They’re not a NY thing because I grew up in Massachusetts and most bakeries carried them.

I'm not quite sure, but judging from the picture I think this cookies are named 'Amerikaner' or americans here .
