According to Valve this is about as long as episode 2, so it has a decent amount of content, but the game will only be available for VR. While it looks gorgeous, it will be another year or two at least before decent headsets start to come down in price to within the sweet spot of around $300.00 Its largely a question of the resolution of the display they use, but the prices keep coming down. Right now a decent headset will easily cost you $800.oo when you add in the controls, but Sony in particular is all about producing cheaper alternatives and its definitely best at this time to wait until they release their newest headsets with the next gen consoles. Valve does whatever Valve wants, which is good for gamers, because they aren't just in it for the money and continue to innovate. They've been working on full body motion capture, and this is where video games start to blend into Hollywood movies in virtual reality. Even without things like ray tracing, using motion capture and photogramacy they can literally immerse you in the world of your choice. My guess is it will be another decade before VR has finally covered all the basics fairly well, including how to move around. Valve helped to pioneer adding more basic physics to video games, but they are still struggling along with everyone else attempting to figure out the best controls to use.
