and i got that 5'8" thing from a chick i used to know who wanted to go into modelling.......

 

teen models have to be fairly tall for their age. at least above average, but not necessarily 5'8.
adult models do have to be somewhere around 5'8 though.
print models can be a little under 5'8/5'9...
edit: but print teen models can be average height. itd seem to make sense...

 

hugh, it's not like...if you're a model...NO MATTER WHAT FOR, you HAVE to be five foot eight or above.
sure..most are...but not every fucking job..
