Oh,I DO work out- You should have seen me after having my kid, I have lost a lot of weight. I go on walks- swim, dance- and play hard.
I just have never had the time or money for the gym.Hubby had a membership - and got fit that way, but we never made the time for both of us to go(and there isn't one really close to me).

I need a bike though. I miss taking rides, and the kid is getting fast on her bike.

Works better for maintaining consistency , not like you have excuse not to go home when you're already there :D

This thread makes me wish I had a membership so bad, I'd love to hop on a stationary bike right about now and ride for 45 minutes and then hop on to a weight bench and see what I can bench press. To bad I'm to high on oxy and its too late to work out.

There's a fine line between keeping in shape for healthfullness and obsession or even a self-consciousness relating to image

I like being able to feel good from healthy exercise, and miss being able to sleep well and generally feel good as a result, if it calls for some time at the gym, I'm fine with that

Anyone heard about those new Richard Branson 'virgin active' gym/health clubs? I know they're launching in Australia, those look pretty good. I'm a fan of whatever Branson does.

I don't go to a gym but I do work out daily at home. Am I addicted to it? Well yes, because it makes me look and feel good about myself, and I don't see anything wrong with that. I'm damn proud of my body and the work I've put into it!

I think more people NEED to be physically active.

Yeah, these are probably bad, dramatic photos. Maybe airbrushed. But that's all we see, these pics.

    Good shape?

    Wow.

A healthy body, even a six pack, is hardly "unrealistic for most people."
It's just that most people are too fucking lazy and/or undisciplined to do what it takes.

Oh, and Keira is shocking. That is not healthy.

this from the guy who made a thread asking people to tell him if he had the proper bodyweight......

yes, overexerting yourself is bad for you, but there is nothing unhealthy about a little bit of exercise. human beings need to be active to stay healthy. and some people go to the gym to stay in shape, not to change themselves.

also, to whoever brought it back...

let a sleeping thread die

Yeah, I must agree, Kiera Knightley is definitely on the too thin side, and not in a good way. She doesn't look healthy at all, no muscle or toning, just emaciated.

You know who I think is built fantastic though is Kelly Rippa. She's thin, but she definitely works out, has the muscle, tone, strength. Looks fantastic for a 38 year old mama of 3!

*laughs* See, I think she looks great!

No way my midsection will ever look like hers though. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's tight underneath, and I religiously do my sets of crunches 3 times a week but my belly got so stretched out when I had the twins that the only way it's looking like Kelly Ripa's is if I had a tummy tuck. And that's not going to happen. :D

I think it looks like a huge giant hand has come over and unnaturally squeezed her midsection :D

I bet you, hippychickmommy, look better than she does. At least in my eyes :)
