I've never done mine. But I have seen a few guys with painted nails, at festivals and fairs. If they have nice feet, it looks kinda cool. I don't know if I could do mine and go out in public. I don't think I could pull it off. I think it also depends on the person as to whether it looks cool or not...
I have done it and gone out in public. A lot of people are cool with it. I even got a nice compliment from a buddist female monk. That got me to smile. Plus the ladies who give me a pedicure are super sweet. I go any color I like as long as my skin tone matches for it. Peace
I've painted my toes red and clear but I didn't have the stomach to show it to anyone. I liked the way my toes looked though. Maybe ill do it again sometime. I was thinking of getting a professional pedicure too but it feels weird to me walking into a salon.
Today, I did it, I went to the salon and ask for french pedicure. I went in while it was completely empty(middle of the day) I gotta say, my toes look sexy, nails are nice squared and short, white tips with a clear pink coat. The lady that did my feet told me that it wasn't too common that straight men ask for colored polish. From there I walked home in my yoga sandals( they have toe dividers that seperate each toe. It helps train the muscles in the feet, but its also used for applying polish) I got a few compliments from the females that passed by.(my heart was pounding out of fear of what they would say) "Nice toes!" made my day Now my mom doesn't know and I don't have any nail polish remover...So I'm pretty much stuck with colored toes even if she does see them
I think the french pedicure looks great on anyone, i don't see it as a woman thing, it makes your feet look neat and clean, i'm wearing it myself right now, but i've never gotten any comments from anyone about it, it would make my day too.
lol no but my brothers wife is a butician person type of things then she practice on my brother you know with the nails and putting mud on peoples face and what have you he went to work and people were calling him princess
i think im going to try a few toe rings now to go with my french ped. I feel so different even when my toes aren't showing when i go to school now. Its a refreshing feeling.
Well, as several people here know, (Like Matthew, for one) I take great care of my feet, especially as they are exposed to the outdoors and my many delicious surfaces every day for 7 months of the year. I wear from 1-3 toe rings, at least one or two, sometimes 3, always. I treat my self to a pedicure whenever I can. I'm not sure what the French pedicure is, but it sounds good. I'll ask the next time I have a regular pedicure on the 15th of October. I've still never painted. I'm thinking about it. It would be a very low key color, as someone said, matching my (very tanned) skin tones. My pedicurist always asks if I'd take a neutral coating. Maybe next time I will. I'm definitely not one to hide my feet, and I actually enjoy showing them. No reason not to. But the louder colors I see some women use (great as it looks on them) might be too much for me. We'll see---I'm still open to a lot of things.
I think it's pretty hot when guys have painted nails I love nail polish and nail art, my best friend and I make sure we always have our nails done - we love it. When I see someone like Noel Fielding (I tend to use him as an example for everything because he's just my ideal and I love him) with dark nail polish on it just makes him look even more sexy. But I guess I like campy guys
Well, I experienced this first-hand a few years back and it changed my opinion. You couldn't have convinced me that any guy who allowed anyone to paint his toenails would have much self-confidence at all! But, I came around due to an unfortunate (or maybe it was fortunate) incident. My wife would tell me that my feet looked disgusting whenever I would wear sandals. I asked her what I should do about it so she didn't get her undies in a bundle, and so she set up an appointment for me at a place that did nails. I was not very excited about this but I was tired of listening to her complain about the condition of my feet, so I went along with it. The pedicure was actually very enjoyable (though I would not admit that it the time). The gal cleaned (bleached) my toenails, cleaned under them, smoothed them and even ground off my callouses. My feet looked and felt quite good afterwards. My wife was happy, so that was good too. Later that same summer, she and I were in a shopping mall and she decided to stop in to get her nails done. She noticed that they had a two-for-one his and hers special that day so she talked me into getting another pedicure. Well, this time I was not as resistive as before because I knew how good this really was. We were getting our 'treatment' and then she happened to notice a man at a chair across from us getting his toenails painted with colored polish (blue). She asked the nail gal about it and th etech replied that they did have a few male clients who did this, it was supposed to be the coming rage for men. Of course, this was the next 'suggestion', that I give this a try. Well, she was persistent and I figured this new interest she had would eventually pass, so I gave in and did it. I mean, it was just paint, right? Well, when the gal was done with my nails, I was actually quite a bit surprised how good they actually looked with the polish. My wife went nuts - she definitely liked it! So, I left the place with blue toenails - something I would never have dreamed I'd ever do. And, it stuck. We both liked it enough that a few weeks later, I tried it again, this time with silver polish. It was sort-of fun actually to try different colors and have my feet looking decent and more interesting than most men's 'plain' feet. These days, I pretty much wear my toenails painted all of the time. I think it looks good, my wife likes it and I like the comments from people when they see them and think that it's pretty cool that I wear them polished.
