If they're related to Warren Jeffs like Spiff mentioned then it is highly likely they are also engaging in welfare fraud. I read a book about Jeffs called Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer and the book talked about how Jeffs and under fundamentalist Mormons (the extreme polygamist sects, not mainstream Mormons) are all on government assistance. They hate the government and view it as their little way of rebelling or getting one over on the government
