You can dislike a band for their antics and their general persona but you can't take away the quality of the music they produce and Guns N Roses produced some of the finest music ever.

If I didn't listen to bands just because a member of the band is a complete dick or because they'd done something that was wrong then my music collection would be a lot smaller.

Examples include Gene Simmons (Kiss), James Hetfiled (Metallica), Glenn Danzig (Misfits, Danzig), John Lydon (Sex Pistols), Vince Neil (Motley Crue)... the list is endless

Well you are right, of course, but what I like most about their music is their heaviness, which I would attribute to Slash and his great guitar work. Some nice solos in November Rain or Sweet Child of Mine for example. Axl is/was just a singer, IMO only.

The 90's has much better music than today. Today it's copy cats and covers everywhere. At least the 90's gave their own spin and made good records even if the odd cover was found

I love ACDC, Poison, Alice Cooper, Guns N Roses, Naughty By Nature. I think it was about the music back then, today it's more about image and so much so, that people who have no singing ability whatsoever can make a mint. That's the biggest crock of shit.

Teeny bopper bands and boy bands are a dime a dozen. The real artists are the ones that make their own music and who break the monotony and play instruments. They are the real bands. When i hear britney Spears talk about her "band" etc, i don't remember her playing an instrument along with strutting around on stage wearing bugger all.

Great, great band. In their prime they were everything a great rock-n-roll band should be. Reckless, dangerous, out of control and in your face. Lets face it, there hasn't been a band like this on the national scene since.

I loved GNR, still do actually. Heard the demos of Chinese Democracy and think theyre fucking awesome - have seen the new GNR line up in concert twice too and they still fucking rock. Went to watch Velvet Revolver at the weekend, the band are still amazing Slash and Duff are still amazing. Sadly the singer just isnt up to it if you ask me.

Yes Axl is a wanker, one of the biggest rock has ever seen, but the guy is a musical genius - some of the songs hes written are amazin and not just cos of the guitar Slash put on them. And what a voice!

    Ditto.

I'm not so much into G'n'R...I mean they had a few all right singles back in the day (and the November Rain solo by Slash is pretty epic) but in general I'm not a huge fan...And what was Axl THINKING when he released Chinese Democracy...I mean...really?...really man?
