You're the only one here who comes across as fearful. And if shit does ever hit the fan, the millions of us that would be willing to fight for our country and constitution, and our way of life, might just save your ass. I think you are underestimating the combined power of Americans in their own backyards. Why don't you google FEMA camps or FEMA coffins. I'd rather be dead than just bow down and accept what might happen in the coming years. You must be on welfare or something.

I Googled 'FEMA Coffins', and one of the results highlights that they are not coffins per se. They are coffin liners. 4. Hundreds of thousands of plastic coffins CLAIM: "500,000 plastic air-tight coffins in the middle of Atlanta Georgia. Apparently the Government is expecting a Half Million people to die relatively soon, and the Atlanta Airport is a major airline traffic hub, probably the biggest in the country, which means Georgia is a prime base to conduct military operations and coordination. It is also the home of the CDC, the Center for Disease Control. I don't want to alarm anyone, but usually you don't buy 500,000 plastic coffins 'just in case something happens,' you buy them because you know something is going to happen. These air tight seal containers would be perfect to bury victims of plague or biological warfare in, wouldn't they?" FACT: The black polypropylene products purported to be coffins are grave liners, or burial vaults, manufactured by Convington, Ga.-based Vantage Products. (In this case, they are examples of the company's Standard Air Seal model.) The use of a burial vault, which prevents the collapse of cemetery ground and protects the casket, is a common requirement when a body is interred. The filmed lot in Madison, Ga., is a Vantage storage facility. Of the 900,000 or so in-ground burials in the U.S. each year, a small percentage of those people prearranged their own caskets and vaults--which Vanguard holds at the storage facility until the appropriate time. According to company Vice President of Operations Michael Lacey, there are approximately 50,000 vaults in storage in Madison. "It's nowhere near the quantity they talk about on the Internet," he told the local Morgan County Citizen newspaper. Furthermore, Lacey has said the company maintains detailed records of product ownership and is audited annually, to insure all vaults are accounted for. The 'mass evacuation' bus' is if there happens to be a large scale natural disaster and a mass of people have to be moved swiftly. It seems you might be fearful and scared about something.
Vietnam was an unjust war. You may have fought with intentions of serving and protecting your country, but you really just fought to make walstreet very very rich! I'm sure they appreciate your service...
Being a member of SAR it seems my ancestors did that for me. When and if there is actual threat or invasion of my country, I will fight.
I just saw this. Let me preface by saying I'm not scared of anything. I'd like to live my life out peacefully and how I'd like, and I'd like my nephew and younger cousins not to have to go through something like that. Second of all, look into it more if it interests you. Those are too small for a coffin to fit into, and a coffin is too small for those to fit into. And what I've mentioned so far is just the tip of the iceberg as far as conspiracy theories regarding the NWO global agenda, martial law, mass genocide, etc. If you don't care to do your own research with an open mind to the possibility.. I don't really give a shit. I go about my daily life but I am aware that our government has become far too powerful, too sinister and too secretive. I don't trust them as far as I can piss. And I sure as shit am not turning in my guns, EVER, and would never advocate making guns harder to get for American citizens.
To be fair, I have - quite a lot. But it's only recently I was aware they were coffin liners. Do you know what size they are? I couldn't find a better image - but this one seems to suggest it is big enough (notice the amount of head room) The Makers: http://www.polyguardvaults.com/index.cfm?ID=28 http://www.morgancountycitizen.com/?q=node/7524 http://metabunk.org/threads/904-Deb...ic-grave-liners)?p=19415&viewfull=1#post19415 I've done my own research regarding most of the above, and followed a lot of what gets posted around here. So both ends of the spectrum.
Well, I've seen a lot of stuff about the recent gun debates, and I've just read this whole thread. I understand the ideas of protecting yourself against potential threats from the government as opposed to trying to take on the government, which is just downright crazy and stupid. But I'll just say that the only reason my family even has guns is for hunting. So it really sucks that everyone's trying to pass gun control laws and the price of ammo is going up when I just want to kill stuff to eat. It's delicious, and it's a good hobby, not to mention practical. And all these gun control laws are affecting me and my family for essentially no reason. That being said, I don't see any reason why someone would want an assault rifle or a machine gun or anything like that. If you need that for hunting, you must be a reeeaaally crappy shot. And if you want it just to shoot, you have no skills, hence the crappy shot thing I mentioned previously. There's not much of a reason for a civilian to have such a weapon. Also, trying to put limits on magazine capacity isn't going to work now. Everyone went out and loaded up on assault rifles, high capacity magazine clips, etc. because they thought the government was going to ban it all. It's all out there now.
What I don't understand is why people call AR-15s assault rifles. Assault rifles have a selector switch to change between semi auto, full auto, and burst fire. An AR-15 is semi auto only, with a safety switch where the selector switch sits on an assault rifle. I like them because I like guns and they are hella fun to shoot, accurate, and lightweight. And in the event of multiple armed intruders (which is unlikely but does happen) a 30 round mag might mean the difference between keeping yourself and family alive, or watching your wife and daughter get raped then killed. Although I shouldn't have to defend that reasoning to anyone. A crazed gunman could easily kill more people with 2 glocks than with an AR. A 30-06 hunting rifle will inflict way more damage and can do so from further distances. A 12 gauge shotgun can turn someone's torso into hamburger meat with 1 slug. The whole thing doesn't make any sense to me. And I personally don't hunt, but I know plenty of people that hunt with AR-15s. Specifically the 6.8mm while hunting boar.
It's all possible, however, I have never heard of anyone using or been to any funeral where a coffin liner was used. I'm not sitting here with a tin foil hat claiming the gov't is coming to get me. But I will continue to remain as aware and vigilant as I can in light of events that have been occurring for years now, and I will continue to exercise my 2nd amendment rights by keeping weapons.
I've never heard of anybody using one either. Apparently they are very popular, and many modern cemeteries require that either a burial liner or vault be used in burials. I think this one has been well and truly debunked over the years. Remain aware and vigilant all you like, but I'd say not be a mug to these types of conspiracies - especially ones so old. I don't actually think it is a 2nd amendment right, to be honest. It just seems recently the supreme court has favoured your interpretation.
I never really specified, I just said, "assault rifles, machine guns, or whatever" or something like that. It could have to do with where we live. I don't know where you live, but different areas have different cultures, and different points of view.
Well the national debate right now is about 'assault rifles' which is what they are calling AR-15s, semi auto AK-47s, etc. And yeah I can see that being possible. I live in FL.. we can own machine guns, silencers, .50 cal sniper rifles, 100 round drum magazines, etc. Right to carry state it is very gun friendly.
I don't think it has been debunked, I also never claimed it was the absolute truth. In conjunction with a lot of facts it does seem possible, though. To be honest I don't think about it that much. I have friends who are much more educated in this arena. And on what grounds is the right to keep guns not a 2nd amendment right?
Well we know they are not coffins. I know FEMA don't own them. They are not even there any more (another conspiracy no doubt). P.S they are about 7ft long, apparently... http://www.polyguardvaults.com/media/File/DimensionSheet2010.pdf I wouldn't spend too long time thinking about that one either. Cool link, but lol.. Justice Steven's flowery dissension does not unravel one of the founding core values of this country, sorry. In the time that amendment was ratified, the militia was every able bodied American. Well regulated meant ready, prepared, organized.. not regulated in the post modern sense. But you're right, the SC has upheld that right more than once. Regardless, and no offense meant, but your opinion regarding our affairs doesn't matter. It's bad enough for us that we have to deal with Piers Morgan spouting his rhetoric on a damn work visa. Seems you should be worried about your own country, seeing as how your violent crime is more than double of the US rate.
Well 'core values' are hard to define and transcend the constitution, don't they? The point was about interpretation. If America wasn't so gun friendly it might have swung the other way. I was primarily referring 'to keep'. I think the whole thrust of the link I gave was to determine if you should be able to keep a gun regardless of being in a militia or not. Well, we are on a international forum - the purpose being, I thought, was to debate regardless of where you are from. If you just want to talk to Americans - go for it. - Piers can say what he likes, we let Americans come over here and spout off all the time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-13549927 I think that might be a little like saying The Vatican has the highest crime rate in the world.
Self reliance, self preservation, and so on. This country was founded on the keeping and use of firearms. Hell, we revolted against England because of the embargo on gunpowder and then finally an attempt to disarm. If it ever does 'swing the other way,' it will be because one or both of two possible things. Orchestrated events that scare most people into thinking a ban is necessary, or outright show of force from govt. You will never see Americans hand over their guns like they did in England and other countries. I hate to say it but a bloody civil war would happen before that. We take our guns seriously. This is not something that can be determined through intellectual analysis, legislation or debate. This is something that is deeply rooted in our culture, and millions of us are willing to die to preserve that. Which is why I think this whole debate is foolish.. This is not something to mess around with. Once again, notice how there is no mention of things like the video game culture and it's possible effects on developing brains, psych drugs, the culture of violence and gangs brought about by the war on drugs. Which brings me to my next point. I welcome debate but tend to get defensive when people from other countries try to impose their beliefs or apply their cultural values regarding our domestic issues which you can't fully understand unless you were raised here. I know our foreign policy is a mess and we have basically brought international criticism on ourselves, but this is a unique issue. I can't believe you invited Obama to speak over there. And you lost me on that last comment.
...and the ones who make the guns get richer and richer, entangled with government, drug cartels, terrorism, and any state that can pay the price. If making people like STPLSD afraid of their own "government social workers" raises their stock, then they will invest in teaching that through the media and right wing organizations. STPLSD, you are hilarious. Do you realize that in your sig, you misunderstood what obama meant by "negative"? He didn't mean it in the sense of "bad" or "undesirable", he meant that the constitution says what states can't do . . . in law and philosophy that's called a negative maxim/rule. Here is the whole quote in context. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negative_liberty So to see you froth at the mouth in your sig when you don't even understand the basic concept that is being discussed, and then to see that you live in a system where you can buy assault rifles capable of tearing a man in half in one second is very, very scary. I also think anybody who thinks that things like silencers and 100 round drums should be at all available to the public has serious, serious paranoia issues. It's very sad that the military-industrial complex has such a grip on politics and the media, that so many americans think they need to have what truly are, weapons of mass destruction. Yeah, I consider an assault rifle a weapon of mass destruction. Someone who can go into a school and unload into 30 kids is creating mass destruction. That's how imbued in violence the US is, "mass destruction" has to mean a nuclear/chemical/biological explosive of some kind . . . stop and think about who is really looking out for you on your end of the ring STP. Go and read a book, stop listening to propaganda. It's just pitiful to see so much opinion and access to lethal weaponry without the intellect and context behind it that should be MANDATORY.
