What about: "Every constitution, then, and every law, naturally expires at the end of nineteen years. If it be enforced longer, it is an act of force, and not of right." or "Whatever be the Constitution, great care must be taken to provide a mode of amendment when experience or change of circumstances shall have manifested that any part of it is unadapted to the good of the nation. In some of our States it requires a new authority from the whole people, acting by their representatives, chosen for this express purpose, and assembled in convention. This is found too difficult for remedying the imperfections which experience develops from time to time in an organization of the first impression. A greater facility of ammendment is certainly requisite to maintain it in a course of action accommodated to the times and changes through which we are ever passing." or "We must be contented to travel on towards perfection, step by step. We must be contented with the ground which [the new] Constitution will gain for us, and hope that a favorable moment will come for correcting what is amiss in it." -Thomas Jefferson
I'm not a progressive. Besides, I don't think we're making much progress at all. Most of what government is doing today, is taking steps to destroy our economy and demoralize our people with violence and war. I don't think this is what our founders meant by "advancing"
Btw, when I was talking about world government, this is what Im saying; Wars, population control, false flag attacks and, media propaganda is ALL part of what they do. Not to mention assasinating Democratically elected leaders of other countries. Thats why they literally don't want a OWG, an actual one world government would impose on everything that makes them money.
Oh my, I lost reputation points over this thread!! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MYSELF?!?! I can't handle the rejection. That's it, I'm turning one of my evil black guns onto myself
Was it from Maelstorm? That asshole gave me a bad rep, cause my new sig TELLS THE TRUTH!!! See what I was saying about Obama supporters? They cannot stand anyone talking bad about their BLACK JESUS!
What's a 'progressive,' and how does it relate to this? I think this one needs a bit of work, or could you link to a better version of your thoughts. It's Sunday, I know. Who don't?
It's funny how to Obama supporters 25 round clips are "weapons of mass destrucrtion" but plastic drones which bomb, drop granades and, take out full houses, (when done by Obama,) is fine and dandy! I'll get back to you Odon, I have links of what I'm talking about, I'm just mad busy helping my mom get ready for a yardsale...
I find that hilarious as well. So does two glocks and two spare mags also signify weapons of mass destruction? I just love how all of these gun control supporters have never even fired or had real exposure to firearms (most of them anyway), yet they have passionate opinions against them. Fear of the unknown I guess. And the drone thing is crazy too, people are silent on the issue. I guess it boils down to that if you promise the population a bunch of free shit at the expense of others, you can do what you want as a politician.
I think it helps that he's black; That way if you don't like him you're a bigot, Nazi, racist who JUST doesnt like him cause he's black!
Even my black friends don't want to be associated with him. They're like 'he ain't black, he's mixed' hahaha.
Just because someone believes that one aspect of Obama's policy makes sense, doesn't mean that they agree with everything he does or believes in. You're trying to paint this as a with him or against him kind of thing... it's not black and white like that.
I'm just fine with that. It's what obama has worked hard to institute. If he gets his presidential panties is a twist, the NDAA and such allow him to blow you the fuck up with a drone any time he feels like it. And he has done it to american citizens, and has the law to do it in the US, and we're currently going on his (long ago proven totally worthless) word that he'll be a gentleman, and not blow up little timmy the enemy combatant when he gets off the schoolbus.
I disagree with the premise. That's like saying "I support Bush, but I don't support the Iraq war," It's actually pretty black and white. The majority of people who support this awful president, support everything he does, without any type argument or resistance. I don't like Obama because of his policies. People who like Obama, like him because of his "I care about the poor," rhetoric. (Unfortunately his policies don't reflect that.)
That's, perhaps, an extreme e.g. The people I have heard say something like that are the people that supported the Iraq war at the beginning, but became disillusioned with it over the years.
