The music industry is not about the actual music anymore. It just a few people who sell themselves as a tool. Underground has so much talent. Its just hard to find in any genre.
Agreed. These days, the image of an "artist" is more important to pop culture than the actual music is. Underground is definitely where it's at, and that is the ONLY place to find quality hip-hop/rap.
I can't see that happening either. People have learned how to capitalize on the market, so it'll remain how it is. You can still find a few TRUE artists though, if you look hard enough.
As soon as something becomes cool it's run down. The best bands/artists are the originals. Summer Breeze by Seals and Croft.
