hello there, beautiful people. long time since my last visit.it's not really cold here, plus a flood makes of this the best time for Those Who Shun Shoes. Apparently the God of the river freaked out. the folks who tried in vain to sail along the roads in their cars spite of +15 inches of water and got stuck stared at me, my rolled pants and bbff and bicycle plowing across the flood like at a madman. obviously it's people who never wore a pair of rubber boots full of water. in case someone didn't know, this SUCKS and it's obviously a far better solution to go barefoot (they won't even keep your feet warm by the least bit, btw) apart from comedy, it's a mess and we're lucky it didn't get worse.
Wow, yeah a really understand. I'm in the SW of England at the moment and we too have enough flooding claim 'wrath of God'. I'm barefoot with long shorts at the moment. It's cold but I'd rather be a bit chilly than suffer from rising damp. Good to see you back, it's been a bit lame around here recently, but I'm sure it will pick-up Best wishes Madesh
Skip, I've never seen anything like it is in California now. They got a little yesterday--inch in Fresno and 2/10ths in my hometown south of Fresno. Someone mentioned this could last for years!!
i learn that Somerset,Berkshire and Surrey are under threat of floods, hoping 4the best... someone of us there?
yeah me...floating away...I used to have a field, caravan and truck. Now it's a boat, lake and water feature! Seriously though all my ground is ruined, I can't drive in and out of the entrance to my field and my caravan has sunk into the ground on one side making everything lean terribly. To top it off my animals have had to be moved away to a local farm and I currently can't get my children to school due to the flooding. At the moment it's a massive battle just to protect everything I've worked years to grow, cultivate and build. Today the winds are about 70 miles an hour and we're predicted a months rain within the next 48hrs. This planet couldn't be more fucked up right now Sx
yeah, and the least culpable ones pay first, apparently. 70-mps winds sound like bad news for corporate skyscrapers, though . whatever, may the mighty star fellow :sunny: be back soon shining over everybody.
