Not only have I neglected the writers forum but I've neglected writing all together lately XD

I think the last worthwhile peice I wrote was in my jorunal, the one about the girl Brooke, but I get the impression that the point Im trying to get across is hard to decihper out of a mess of words

john that little series you wrote about the brooke girl I thought was amazing. I read all of them in one sitting.

 

that's probably why she tells people she's french. can't really blame her.

 

I liked -Ghost Dance-. I still pop in and read that again, every now and then.

You know it's funny how people call out Aura on her looks everywhere she goes :tongue: XD I was walking out of a bar with her the other day and this dude looks over and just says "God daym!"
Then were walking down the road a minute later and people start yelling out of the car. I just have a little laugh inside and say "God daym!" to myself XD

Actually they are just part of a lot of writing, most of which is either unfinished or shoved in a notebook due to other needs. I figure when Jack get a little older I'll have more energy after work to write rather than being spent after cooking dinner and drinking a few beers :tongue:
But yea Brooke is just an extension of my own faults and interests, and her name is borrowed from an old friend. So really she is the majority of my writing

It's been awhile since I read them, I dont remember if I walked away actually understanding what they were about. actually I think I will read them again today.

I think my favorite aspect of your writing is your descriptive skill. You avoid all of the over-played metaphors that people tend to use when speaking about the same sort of thing that you write about, and situations that you describe. It gives you a sense that you really know what you are talking about. More original.

I love Brooke, but I also really loved the Mexicali story and there's another one I love, but I forget the name.

 

How are you two on comps at the same time?
