I understand mate But you not giving a shit about the Cat wont stop all the bad stuff in the world from happening !! perhaps if more people had empathy about a cat that made millions of people smile the bad shit would get less ??

Grumpy cat dying did receive more attention than lets say Saudi bombing of Sanaa just two days ago.
I'm just saying that because I don't see much news coming from Yemen in the media at all.

With all that being said, I kind of understand the appeal of these distractions.
It doesn't mean people don't care about bigger issues.

But even if we would know a lot about the x events there, I'd still conclude people spending more posts on grumpy cat than on what happens in Yemen still doesn't have to mean anything significant

Maybe we should start a charity where we teach children in Yemen to make memes.
