I was wondering about y'all's opinions on what kind of weed I should get. I want to grow them indoors to keep away from everyone elses' sight of vision.

Any suggestions on what type of marijuana I should grow? I'm practically new at growing marijuana but I do have a love of plants and growing them and watering them and watching them grow.

Will it be the same thing as growing any type of plant or do you have to take more special care of it?

I'm sorry for boring you, I'm SUCH a noob at this.

There are strains that tend to yield more with less work just by genetics. But a lot of it is also going to be your skill. Don't expect it to be perfect the first time. If you are growing for personal use you don't have to worry about getting the huge "cola" buds that look good at least. Most sites that sell seeds have a little background on the average skill level and yield of a strain. There are hundreds of them but I could name a few popular ones among growers I know.

Death Star, Mob Boss, Amnisa Haze, Chemdog, Silver back Ape, Flo, Cinderella 99. All of these have good yields for them but they have been growing for years.

No, it's nothing like growing any other plant if you grow indoors. Totally different animal. You'll need a light tight grow cab as well as odor control. You may want to get a book, or go to a cultivation site and see what all it entails.

Oh yeah...and unless you buy feminized seeds or get your hands on some cuttings, you'll have to know how and when to cull the male plants.

How big are you thinking? Because that's gonna change how you do things

Some strains grow more vertical and tree like (I really mean it, google some outdoor plants, in one years time, it can go from a clone to a 30 foot tree beast!!)
While others are more like a bush, lots of different directions

Generally a sativa will come in small plethora of buds and indicas will come with some big to huge leaves and big buds

All depends on your space, money, and time.

You may want to experiment with just growing a seed. Nutrients are needed for a professional level and can be very pricey, same with lights. But if you just want to know if you can do it, nothing wrong with just light and water. Just don't expect to smoke that when it's done

I hope you have a lot of money to shell out on the equipment for this. I hear stealing your parents' credit cards is a good way of doing it.

again with the insults......you are inferring he is a teen at mom and dads house and you do it by acting like a teen from mom and dads house lol

    too funny

ask your smoking friends for what we call ''bag seed''...seeds that randomly are found in weed we buy....plant one and watch......by the third node you have gone on youtube and the various grow sites so that you can sex it..then keep watching and keep reading

it is incredibly easy to grow weed

They are already factoring in the "shrinkage" of theft and they don't give their employees a bonus if they prevent it. It's just more millions in the pockets of the Walton kids. I don't support theft but Walmart is about as victimless as the crime gets.

Do other stores give you a bonus for preventing theft? Where I live that doesn't happen and if someone steals something you are actually told not to pursue them because it's a liability issue. One of the last stores I worked at got stolen from constantly and a guy I worked with got fed up one day and chased down the thief. He got the stuff back, but then got in trouble and was told to never, ever do it again.

No store that I know of will give a bonus for preventing theft. They don't want to mess with that with low paid employees and it encourages people to act stupid. Usually they just want you to watch and call the cops.

I think outdoor growing is easy...with cuttings. But indoor? Not easy at all and very expensive start up.

I've seen those grow tents...hard to hide one of those, lol. And they don't come with fans or any odor control?

How is growing indoor a bigger crime? I thought they go by weight.

no, growing indoors is not necessarily expensive.
CFL lights can be gotten cheaply at home depot or walmart. 42 watt light is around 10 bucks or so. get you 2 or 3 of those per plant and you're good to go. you don't need a tent or grow cab if you have a closet, and make sure no light leaks in during lights out phase. I've never had a problem dealing with smell, when growing with CFLs. Now HID lighting is a whole nother story and more expensive

indoors/outdoors doesn't matter as far as the law is concerned...a plant is a plant and you will get busted for it depending on your state laws. norml.org

indoor grow is pretty easy to prove compared to an outdoor grower.....it is hard to deny 25 plants in your basement r attic lol.....however....put those same plants on government land and even if they are standing there when you roll up to the grow they cant prove you planted them or knew about them....if they find a large enough outdoor grow they will absolutely put in the time for a proper bust...they wont stake out or waste a bush cam on 25 plants

the other thing is indoor grows can ruin a rental property and judges don't love those people
