Since I have had the discussion with my gf and somebody here I'm curious about dyeing hair. Well, I have to admit the poll is not for teens  more for the ones whoes hair don't look like :afro: So, my questions are about: 1. Do you dye your hairs? Yes/No If Yes => from what color to what? And any specific reason why? Regularly (once every 3 month or every other week or ...) If No => what color does your hair have? Blonde, White, Grey, Silver, or ??? 2. Do you like if your partner dyes her/his hair? Yes/No/Don't mind/ 3. You think the opposite sex (m or f) should dye his/her hair? 4. What age you think is not any longer reasonable to dye the hair? I know, you could dye them till your last day of life, but what is the gut feeling? A granny with blue hairs is awesome? 5. Forgotten to ask: You are male or female? Reason for curiosity is that I like grey hairs at my gf, but she doesn't really like them. From smbd else I read men silver hairs are some kind of 'mature' (?) Curious how other think..
I like grey hair. I am only 25 but mine has been turning grey for a few years now and I love it. I have some lovely silvery strands running through my dark hair. It looks cool! I used to dye streaks of bright colours into my hair and have been considering doing that again. I would only do it every few months though because I didn't mind when I't faded. I mostly stopped doing it because I have really dark hair and bleaching the colour out first is damaging.
I dye my hair. Right now it is like half platinum blonde, and half ginger. It used to be very bright half pink and half orange. To be completely honest, I think grey hair on men is sexy as fuck. If I were you, I wouldn't dye your hair.
Female, 46. I don't dye. Red with some silvers, creating a sandy red streak. I'd giggle if my partners dyed their hair. Funky non natural colors in stripes excepted. But they aren't here to decorate my world, so they can do what they wish, and what makes them happy. (Just, please, keep the length) I don't care if anyone colors their hair, but I reserve the right to laugh at bad dye jobs and pathetic attempts to look 25. I wouldn't laugh at them openly. I get why some older women dye their hair. Men, too. I think the dyes carry a toxin load, and think that constant dyeing is unhealthy. But I can't see an appearance reason to impose an upper age limit.
OK, I have dyed my hair once and thought that it looked lovely..)) My boyfriend is too manly, even if I begged him, he would not have dyed his hair) What about grey hair, I really like it get some gray hair inspiration
I am 50 and blessed with mostly a full head of hair. (receded front, but no bald spots) It is basically salt and pepper, but my hair is dark brown...so more like salt and burnt brown sugar..
I used to be a darkish blond....then I had children! By the time i was in my mid/late 40s I was very grey!! I started dyeing my hair when i started HRT at 52, I am back to blond & happy. Just for the record, I have sometimes found I have a surplus of the hair dye left over, so YES, I have tried using it on my pubes (when the have been allowed to grow out, that is!), it doesn't work down there for whatever reason!!
Scissors are your freind! I have been trimming for several years now, mature males, as you know, can have a forest growing down there! A well manicured lawn looks so much better.
I have a few gray roots that I get taken care of when I get my hair done. Sometimes, I have red highlights, sometimes not. They don't always show up well on my dark natural color. Back in the old days, I sometimes had red highlights, or purple, or both. I own some hair extensions that are different colors, for weekends.
Definitely. Both of my guys have their share of gray. Hubby has a little more. They don't need to change anything. BF's wife is a natural blonde, which she's going to maintain. I'm envious of her ability to do all kinds of temporary colors for the weekend, and they always look fantastic! It's almost like an artist starting with a blank sheet of white paper. She can do anything.
I have always been jealous of blondes for just this reason. To get my hair to a proper dyeable colour, I have to bleach it multiple times. That's why I only ever dye bright streaks into my hair, not the whole thing. I don't want to damage my entire head of hair with bleach.
1. Do you dye your hairs? Yes/No No, not currently. If Yes => from what color to what? And any specific reason why? Regularly (once every 3 month or every other week or ...) If No => what color does your hair have? Blonde, White, Grey, Silver, or ??? I'm a brunette. 2. Do you like if your partner dyes her/his hair? Yes/No/Don't mind/ Don't have a partner. 3. You think the opposite sex (m or f) should dye his/her hair? I don't think they should or shouldn't dye hair. It's a personal preference. 4. What age you think is not any longer reasonable to dye the hair? I know, you could dye them till your last day of life, but what is the gut feeling? A granny with blue hairs is awesome? I'm only 35 so who am I to say. 5. Forgotten to ask: You are male or female? I am male. I used to bleach my hair alot and it's not particularly good for it, but that is different than dying it with color to hide gray.
First all, I'm 58, to be 59 in October. My natural color is a dark chestnut brown, appearing more dark red in the sunlight. When I started to gray/turn white in my 30's I began coloring my hair. About 2 years ago I began letting my temples be natural, which they are white. The rest of it (bangs and back) I color medium red-brown. So, you can think Cruella...with white temples/sides with front and back red-brown. There will come an age I won't color my hair at all, I think anyway. When I see really old ladies with completely black or dark brown hair, I think "goodlord, how ridiculous that looks." So, since I hope not to find myself ridiculous, I won't continue to do this forever.
Yeah, I'm just not willing to do that. So, the highlights end up being easily visible only in bright sunlight, or in pictures taken with flash. Almost pointless for nightlife. That's why I got a little excited when hair extensions became popular, the temporary kind that just clips in place, because you can do absolutely anything with them in terms of color. Removed on Sunday, I look like a socially conservative, professional businesswoman again on Monday morning.
I'm about 40 and my hair has been kind of salt and pepper for years now. Since I've been growing dreadlocks it makes an interesting effect. C/S, Rev J
I am 100% gray...if I let it go, which I will not yet. I grayed very early and have very thick hair. If I go gray....it wil be too much. I dye it the color it was when I was young, auburn. I love gray on men though.
