while i dont agree with all of what Greta Thunberg has to say i think the reason people in her age group get so much shit for standing up for what they believe in is due to the older generations losing touch and not being able to understand that kids arent dumb anymore. They know how to use technology better than their parents or grand parent ever will. Every thing we think kids dont know or are to young to know is bull shit its only one search query away. At least she had the balls to stand for what she believes in witch is more than i can say for most people including myself

  6. No you uneducated moron.
She is taught at home because she cannot be educated in a big school due to her autism.
You need to get some research done on what asd is

Who cares anyway. There's no rule saying people have to like anybody. Big deal. So some people like her, some people don't. Just get on with life and stop pretending like it's some big significant link in your lives.
    *rolls her eyes*

    Hahaha that's priceless.

It's as if some magical force has intervened and now kids are suddenly intellectually different from those of the previous generation.

This is just comedy central here now!

That part's not wrong, but it has no bearing on their relative intelligence. You won't get dumber if your internet goes out. Might actually give a person more time for introspection. But the point remains, information availability doesn't determine intellectual capacity.

Besides, we had books. Lots of 'em. Dictionaries, world book encyclopedias, motors shop manuals, electronic circuits books, science books, music books, how-to books, ... And a lot more time to experiment with stuff.

My perception is that kids actually seem to know how to do less these days, despite the easy multitude of resources potentially at their fingertips. Besides, there's a lot of false and shoddy information presented, and it's a lot harder to pick the signal out of the noise when they don't have enough experience to know the difference.

book are only relevant when they were printed books dont update when the world changes or we learn something new. the internet does. Even today we have schools teaching out of text books printed decades ago. Most printed dictionaries are inaccurate only a few years after printing as new word are created meaning of words change. The only reason kids seem to know how to do less is helicopter parenting and to dam many laws and regulations we dont let or alow kids to do shit anymore

  18. Those books are seriously outdated.

I had no idea. I don't really follow her story all that closely. All I know is she's this teenager who is pissed off about global warming and she has absolutely triggered an entire demographic into a near constant state of meltdown. Which is ironic... ya know with the global warming and all ;)
