I haven't been on these forums in years, I think.

The last time I was here, I was probably in Colombia.

I made the move to the Balkans region, Serbia to be exact. I like it so far, mostly (90%) nice people, tons of interesting places to see around the country, beautiful nature. I even met my love here! May has been nasty in Belgrade this year but hopefully nice consistent temps will finally come in time for June.

Not sure if anyone is still around from what I used to come here all the time.

    Hope all is well!

Carl matey good morning and welcome. I had hoped to visit Croatia (around Dubrovnik area) later this year, but for the Covid - 19 putting the mockers on that, perhaps I'll get there next summer.

Welcome back... Serbia, eh? Certainly off the beaten track. But a beautiful area from what I hear.

We'd love to see some pictures, and by the way, the signature one doesn't show for us. :)

    i remember the name.
are there still 30" gauge (760mm gauge) trains there?

if there are, that is what would interest me.
the more "off the beaten track" part of the world, possibly the better, depending entirely on how considerate people who live there are toward each other.
almost every place on the planet tries to be nice to visitors, to attract the trade,
but how people treat each other who are living there is what matters.

just curious about places, what things that would interest me are like, from people who are actually there, without political axes to grind, to tell me about what its like to them.
how difficult is it to get permission to build things how you would like them, or do you even need permission to do so at all.
and are there more trees then pavement? can people who are not well off, live away from cities and pavement?
