I am an Arkansas Hillbilly expat living in Alaska. There are a surprisingly high number of us here. I am a bit of an adventurer (shocking to hear about someone living in Alaska) a big student of life with broad interests.
The State is great to visit, both in Summer and during the cold. Going to Fairbanks in March is highly recommended (Ice sculptures, Aurora Borealis viewing, experiencing -40 degrees) Late August is best for wildflowers, bear viewing, salmon spawning ( the reason for the bear viewing opportunities) etc. the Far North has very long lasting sunrise and sunset for interesting light for photos.
Good morning matey and welcome. Many years ago, I was t'other side of the Bering Strait from you in Siberia - it was too cold for my liking !!!
Newbie here, from South Carolina. Alaska is on my bucket list of travel. Always have looked like a great place to explore, and full of nature!
